I believe it's cleaning her teeth as she does use her back teeth to chew on them. When they get so small that they could be a possible choke hazard, they can be microwaved, making them expand and become crunchy.

My two pups, Chakotay and Truly Scrumptious gave the Pawfect Himalayan Cheesse Bars Dog Chews a mixed review. Truly is a heavy chewer and seemed to enjoy the long-lasting chew of this treat. The taste of cheese didn't hurt. It kept her occupied for quite a while and she seemed to really enjoy the challenge and activity. Chakotay is a mixed Terrier and while he seemed to enjoy the taste/flavor, he became bored quickly. Chakotay prefers immediate gratification with his snacks, and he gave up after several minutes. Truly ended up stealing the chew away from Chakotay the next day and she happily finished it. I would purchase these again in the future but would get them for my larger dog, Truly. She is a Choclate Lab and a big chewer. Overall, I believe it is a good product and I did not notice any ill effects after the treats were consumed.

So the container will keep the rest of them fresh for a while. If we want her to eat it faster we put it in the microwave, it gets a lot bigger and puffs up but becomes a bit softer and easier to chew. These treats seem like they are good quality and the size large is perfect for my 55 pound lab mix. They are made of healthy ingredients and my dog loves them!

The packaging is great and there are a lot of these in a container so the tub will last a long time depending on how strong your pups jaws are! Our dog chews on it but also likes to run around with it like it is a cigar so that is cute. They are very hard but not so much that we are afraid of a tooth breaking. A great way to help keep teeth cleaner.

Another plus is the resealable, reusable container they come in. I dont consider my dogs to be heavy chewers, although they are larger breeds. Both dogs immediately snapped chunks off the bars and swallowed them. This pattern of chomp and gulp continued, so I took them away after about 10 minutes and gave the rest of the container to a friend with smaller dogs.

My dogs can be picky so the bar’s set pretty high in this household when it comes to treats. I think my senior dogs just aren’t so much into chewing on hard things anymore.

I absolutely love this treat it lasts longer than most of the treats we have ever gotten our pit bulls. My boy usually goes through treats that are similar so quickly
