These were not like past Yak Chews we have bought. They were not durable ... they had them gone in less than five minutes and these are not power chewer dogs. We had to take them when they got to the ends as they looked like they were splitting and could be a problem. I didn't taste them, but they didn't have and scent to them for a flavored YAK chew.

I’ve been purchasing another brand of yak cheese for years. I wanted to try some flavors. First, they was smaller than I expected. Second, dogs only chose two they liked. Third, the first one broke into several little pieces on the first bite and my doodle got chocked. I watch very carefully when they chew anything just bc this can happen with anything. Due to the small size that doesn’t last 10 minutes at the most and the fact my two only like a couple flavors I will not repurchase.

We have two Shih Tzu dogs and are so happy with the Himalayan Cheese Bars, especially for our nearly two year old puppy, Spud! Our four year old, Cora, chose blueberry for her first chew and Spud chose strawberry. They each chewed them so long the first day that we had to cut them off! Spud is now on chew number two, the cranberry treat. The first one lasted a week and there is still quite a bit left to microwave into a treat, as suggested on the package. Cora stopped eating hers but she can be a little finicky. Despite not chewing it, she guards it very closely, perhaps saving it for a later date! The treats last so long that we have not yet given them the last three flavors but are excited for them to try them. Spud is a huge fan of the two he has tried and we plan to purchase more for him in the future. We love the natural ingredients!

Himalayan Cheese Chews were a hit with my dogs! They loved them! I loved that they are 100% natural, grain free, and made from human grade ingredients. These did a great job of cleaning my dogs' teeth and scrubbed off light plaque and tartar. They also reduced bad breath. They come in 6 flavors: strawberry (for healthy teeth and bones), mint (reduces bad breath) tumeric and flaxseed (tumeric helps with arthritis, diabetes, liver disease, gi issues), blueberry (protect the teeth from plaque build up)aloe vera (protect gums, reduces inflammation), and cranberry (strenthen enamel). My dogs' favorite was the strawberry.

I thought these chews would be a great choice for Chocolate Labs (who will chew pretty much anything). One of them, turned his nose to them repeatedly while the other chose the Cranberry flavor and only chewed 1/3 of it before quitting and never going back to it. And, if you're not careful to clean up the mess of remnants left behind, the sharp pieces don't exactly feel good when you step on them. But, in all fairness, this can be the case with other chewing products or treats (for that matter).

Also, if the pieces get too small, soak in water for 10 min then microwave for about 30 seconds (or until it puffs up) and it turns crunchy!

It must be held in a certain position for him to bite it, and the force I feel and the sound that is made when he attempts to chew it is very concerning. I do not want to risk a broken tooth and have decided it is not for him. I have tried other Himalayan Cheese products, but none compare to the hardness of this product; however, in terms of taste, this product receives 5 stars plus!
