This is an incredibly high value treat for my food motivated pittie! She loved treats she can chew on for a long time, so I suspected this would be a hit with her. The size of these are perfect, about as big as a Snickers bar. They're big enough to keep her occupied for awhile, but not so large that eating too much would make her sick. They're the perfect size to fit inside several of her chew toys, which makes them even more valuable. I also love that they come in an airtight container with snaps, so they're easy to store.

They do not make as much of a mess as other Himalayan chews we have had. And it doesn’t bother his sensitive stomach either. These are a big win in our household!!

Millie (golden retriever, moderate chewer, serious snacker) has had four, 40-60 minute chew sessions with her new Himalayan Cheese Bars Turmeric Chews so far! First
Millie (golden retriever, moderate chewer, serious snacker) has had four, 40-60 minute chew sessions with her new Himalayan Cheese Bars Turmeric Chews so far! First of all, she loves them and is now excited when she sees the container! Second, during her first session with a bar, there were several bloody spots on the bar because of the less than stellar condition of her gums and the plaque on her teeth. Subsequent chew sessions have shown no bloody spots and her teeth are visibly cleaner and her gums look healthier! Third happy point, in the four chew sessions she has enjoyed, she has only chewed through two of the bars! They are MUCH longer lasting than other chewing treats we have tried in the past. Fourth sunny point, is these bars are almost odorless (for humans), so no stinky aroma to contend with while your pup enjoys a special treat. Like with any large chewable treat, monitoring your pup to ensure safety is important. Once the bar was small enough to be swallowed, I took it away from Millie to prevent the possibility of choking or a blockage. Also, at one point in her second bar, a medium sized chunk cleaved off the bar that I immediately took away from her for safety reasons.

I was not aware when I got this product that size matters and therefore they were too small for two of my dogs. I highly recommend looking up your dog's size before buying. My smallest dog though loved this treat from the start. I like having chewable alternatives for my pup beyond just bones and this is a good option!

The bars don't splinter, but they do chip a bit as the dog chews, so it's best to keep them in a place you can easily wipe up. The container the bars come in seems to keep everything fresh and it is easily stored. They are by far the best cheese chews I have ever used.
