After a delay in the delivery, I received the supplements. As I had a vet appointment scheduled for my dog, a 15-year-old Carolina Dog, I brought the product to the appointment for the veterinarian to review. My dog has a history of pancreatitis, and I do not give her supplements that are not approved by her doctor. The product is packaged with minimal plastic, a feature I appreciate. There was not any unpleasant smell to the product either. I gave my dog the first treat, and she rolled it around her mouth a bit. I think she was testing the texture, but then she chewed it a bit and then she ate it. The following treats were chewed up and swallowed without hesitation. I give her the product during her morning meals, and she eats them without hesitation. I have not seen any evidence that the chews upset her stomach or disagrees with her digestive system in any way. One I did observe a good amount of dust or crumbs in the container. When the treats are complete, I will sprinkle the crumbs on her food.

I chose this product because my dog has been scratching all over and biting his paws. This occurred after I started him on a grain dog food. The first time I gave my dog one of these nuggets, he took it to his bed, sniffed it and pawed at it and rolled all over on top of it. I gave him another nugget and he did the very same thing. He put it in his mouth then spit it out and rolled on it. The next time he did the same but put it into his mouth a little longer. By the third day, he was still playing with it but then decided to eat one nugget then he ate the second one. After that I had no problem getting him to eat it. I’m about halfway through the product but he hasn’t stopped scratching. I was hesitant to give him this product because it has that black fly stuff in it and it’s made in India. But so far he likes it.
Big hit with my trio!

I gave these Gut Guard Bites to my three dogs (ages 6 to 9), and they were instantly obsessed! The moment I open the can, they come running—even circling and wagging like crazy, hoping for more. While the package calls them "soft chews," they’re actually more of a freeze-dried texture, which my dogs had no problem with. I appreciate that there’s no strong odor, and the resealable canister keeps everything fresh and makes a great attention-grabber when shaken. Too soon to tell long-term health effects, but the enthusiastic response alone has me wanting to try more products from this line. So far, so good!
Don’t tell my dog they are good for her….
I give this to my dog every few days as some of her night time “treats”, she had no issue with the flavor eating them as if they were just as good as her normal
I give this to my dog every few days as some of her night time “treats”, she had no issue with the flavor eating them as if they were just as good as her normal less beneficial for the body treat. Was concerned about the texture as it’s a bit on the rougher freeze dried like side, very different from her normal, but she had no issue with it. Only real issue I would site, which isn’t much of an issue is she is a big dog (100lb) and it takes a few of them (30+ lbs = 3chews) to meet the required needs for her size. She doesn’t care she thinks she’s getting more treats. Container is not recyclable from what I can tell, but not plastic, seems to be a sturdy foil coated on the inside card board with one end being metal capped, with a plastic lid.

Unfortunately, the ingredients listed for this product do not match the product itself. Whereas the online listing indicates it contains plant-based ingredients only, the ingredients listed on the package include chicken and insect protein. My dog is sensitive/possibly allergic to chicken (and likely to other animal-based proteins), so I was unable to feed these to her. Notably, she didn't try to eat them after sniffing them when I opened them, suggesting she wouldn't have liked the flavor anyway (surprising given that she usually loves any kind of food). It's difficult to find plant-based supplements that include omega's and help to reduce inflammation, so I'm disappointed that this one isn't a viable option. I'll stick with the plant-based supplements we already use rather than this one.

My dog loves most treats but he did not like the smell of this treat. The texture was crumbly & my dog would not even lick it to taste-test the treat. I chose this product since my dog has meat allergies and he only eats hydrolized protein food. But I saw it has insect protein in the ingredients.

My senior girl will occasionally has some tummy troubles so I will usually give her a probiotic to help and I was interested in trying these treats, as well. The ingredients are unique and different than other probiotic treats I have seen. My dog was very excited by their smell as soon as I opened the canister! She received two per her weight and she quickly ate them then waited for more. I would say she definitely enjoyed the taste! The results were successful, too; she had a healthy poop a few hours later. I have been giving them to her daily and she has not had any constipation or diarrhea since!
Good so far!
Got these for my pups to try. They both have issues with acid reflux and I thought these would aid in that. I typically give them pumpkin and ginger for their tummies
Got these for my pups to try. They both have issues with acid reflux and I thought these would aid in that. I typically give them pumpkin and ginger for their tummies. So adding this I'm hoping will be beneficial. I will say my dog who eats anything eats these no problem. My other dog refuses every time I try to give it to her. So maybe if you have picky eaters this might not work for them. They are kind like a freeze dried treat.
So far, just as good as the prescription probiotic
I’ve only been using this for my dog for about 2 1/2 weeks but so far, so good. She’s always had a bit of a sensitive stomach so I’ve been using prescription Proviable
I’ve only been using this for my dog for about 2 1/2 weeks but so far, so good. She’s always had a bit of a sensitive stomach so I’ve been using prescription Proviable. I decided to give this a try and so far I’ve had the same results, which is great because this is less expensive. She’s happy to eat it with her food or as a treat. I plan to continue testing this for the full month but so far, I’m very pleased.
Great idea for dogs in aiding gut health.

The natural ingredients are wonderful; glad to see such a variety. The one negative is the insect protein aka black soldier fly. I'm not educated about insect protein, but it creeped me out! My 3 dogs ate them but didn't seen overly enthusiastic about doing so.
