What species of wood is this made from?

My hamster chewed through the wood within two months, warning you when buying this. Squeezed herself through this hole and found her hiding behind my dresser scared

Poorly executed

Put it together with difficult to follow instructions, this I can handle. It’s been a few days and the urine is already staining the wood. The wood isn’t very durable
