This cat house is designed with an asphalt eave and raised floor which helps protect against light weather conditions such as light rain and dampness. However, please note that it is not fully insulated or winterproof. For colder climates, it is recommended to add extra insulation, bedding, or weatherproof covers to help keep your cats warm and comfortable during the winter months.

Good Start But Needs More

This is a good start for a cat house but doesn't offer a lot of protection for outdoor cats. The walls are thin and there is no form of insulation. We added clear

This is a good start for a cat house but doesn't offer a lot of protection for outdoor cats. The walls are thin and there is no form of insulation. We added clear caulk between each tongue and groove slat, and insulation board to the exterior. I like the big access panel at the top. The middle shelf also has an access point at the side. There is NO way to access the lowest shelf except through the small flap entry. Our advice would be to put straw or a blanket in before you put the last wall on. The latches on each door are fairly basic. Overall this is a good starting 'set of bones' but for outdoor use youd need to insulate yourself. I'm glad it was on sale as id hated to have paid full price for something that isn't as robust as its made out to be.

CJ’s PawDad states it was easy to put together. We placed a heat pad on the roof and on the top floor. I feel at ease when she’s outdoors now knowing she has a safe place to snuggle until she’s ready to come inside. She’s always inside at night but she’s often outdoors during the day by choice. We also placed furniture risers on the bottom.

Really like the look and stability of this cat house. We are using it for the area cats, that wander around, for warmth and security. My only con, I wish that there were elevation of at least a couple inches, legs, on the four corners and center of long sides. We will be installing our own. We live in AZ, so not much rain, but enough to worry about the wood holding up, sitting on wet ground.

Smaller than it looked.

It has 3 separate sections and I liked the window on top so the cats can see what is coming. Also has access to each level.
