sturdy

Neither of us (cat or myself) liked the bed perch at the top. He was up and down the stairsteps right away but would not jump into or stay in that perch. The carpet/plush

Neither of us (cat or myself) liked the bed perch at the top. He was up and down the stairsteps right away but would not jump into or stay in that perch. The carpet/plush is very thin and I could see and feel the bolt/screw at the center through that thin covering, so it seems like it would be very uncomfortable for the cat to sit or lay on. But we're both happy with the staircase even after I removed the perch.
