Can this be assembled without the shelves?

Based on the design of this 5-tier ceiling-to-floor cat tree, the shelves (or tiers) are an integral part of the structure. The platforms help distribute the overall height and provide stability, especially since the unit secures to the ceiling using a tension rod. Removing the shelves may affect the structural integrity and balance of the cat tree, and we wouldn't recommend assembling it without them for safety reasons.

Not sturdy, not durable, not for big cats, but perfect for kittens to destroy

Got this for our two kittens to climb and they love it. It is not super sturdy (it shakes when they jump around on it) but it hasn’t fallen over yet, and the rickety-ness doesn’t seem to bother the kittens. The carpet covering is pretty cheap and is already peeling off the cardboard tube after only a few months use. The tower was very easy to assemble. Our cats are currently 7 months old, about 9lbs, and still sleep on the platforms even though their limbs hang off.

had this up for one day and it’s already showing wear and tear after cats scratched on it one time. I bet it’s going to be trashed within a month or less. I’ve never

I’ve never seen a cat tree mess up after one scratch session. This seems to be very cheap and thin material covering cardboard. No way it will last. My cats scratch our couch regularly and you can’t even tell but this item made for cat scratching can’t handle one scratch? Totally absurd to make a cat tree out of whatever cheap material this is. So sad this only looked good for 5 minutes. Will not buy this brand again. It’s also not really that sturdy and we have a screw at the top of the pole to keep it from tipping when the cats jump on it.

It doesn't secure to the ceiling very well and with one small strap to secure it to something, it still shakes a lot when my cats jump on it. Also, the shelves are very short so it's hard for larger cats to jump to the next level.

It was good

When we first got this, we were happy with it. Now it seems like everytime the cats get on top it falls . I’m not sure what else to do.
