This is going to be a good set up for our baby red foot tortoise. However, it isnt what i had expected. Its not, what i feel, large enough for an adult size enclosure: but this will last for at least her fiest year. I will also not be putting this enclosure outside. We live in the midwest, and if you were to put this enclosure outside in any kind of moisture or rain, or even honestly direct heat and sunlight for a prolonged period of time, it would completely not last. I live in Iowa and I know without a doubt this cage wouldnt last a single summer outdoors. And definitely not over winter. But itll be ok indoors for a while after i add a floor. Im confused as to why they dont think a floor is a good idea because its so lightweight that a tortoise is going to dig its way out of here in no time. I wouldnt trust even my russian tortoise in here. It took FOREVER to ship. I got it quickly once it did though. I like the polycarbonate upper plastic window siding, and I like the color scheme. I also like that theres a den house on the end for a shelter that is part of the enclosure. It only took me like 25 minutes to put it together. Remember when assembling to put something between the solid side lid and the other to make a slight gap, otherwise youll have your hinges hold your door too wide (like my one side did, see pic) but I remedied that in the second part of the lid over the yard part. The screen seems decent, but ill still probably put a lamp holder for the lights above the enclosure so theyre not on the screen. It was easy to put together, though some of the screw holes didnt line up on the sides. It was packaged very well. Cant wait to set up for our new baby!
Its ok

A good start, need to make some mods

Good habitat for a start!
Great starter habitat! Good for outside, easy to put together, good functionality. Small for the longterm but will for for a couple of years. Sturdy, well made
