Decent for short term use. Pros: Aesthetically pleasing, very cute little hutch for the tortoises and a decent amount of space to roam, nice little private area for them. Cons: Some of the pieces came splintered and cracked, there weren't pre-drilled holes so a power tool was a must. The instructions were easy to follow, however, it left out the tray so keep that in mind when assembling. The tray is NOT removable, so thorough cleaning is difficult. I think it'll be great for short-term or temporary use. Maybe for the babies before they're moved to a larger enclosure.

Very attractive small tortoise enclosure. My husband put this together and instructions aren't very clear because it uses pictures only. Even so, he got it successfully put together in about an hour. This enclosure looks nice in your home and the storage shelf will be very useful. It is made of cedar so it shouldnt rot when placing in a layer of moist subsrate for digging, but I would say this would only stand up to indoor use. The reason for docking 1 star was that I feel it is made of cheap material (it's very lightweight) and I believe it is too small for anything other than 1 hatchling tortoise to live in for maybe 6 months because they would need to be upgraded after that. It is simply not big enough for anything bigger than a hatchling for a very short span of time. However, I like the look of it and that it has a seperate "night house" for the tortoise to hide away and sleep. I have a group of young 4 year old redfoots and elongated tortoises. I will be using this only for a single tortoise as a night house (sleeping) box set up on cold nights or as an emergency holding area for things like hurricanes when I need to bring them indoors since they live outdoors all year round.
Decent for short-term use, not for long-term use

The wood is an inexpensive kind and will be prone to stains and molding for tortoises that need a humidifier or if kept outside. The clasps are frail, but they do work well as long as you are easy on them. The tray is not removable which will make for a more difficult cleaning, however the wood piece separating the basking and sleeping area sits about an inch above the tray so you can clean the whole tray. The instructions are easy to follow, but they fail to mention that you need to install the tray with the bottom piece. The hole of the wood piece inside the enclosure is a bigger size so the tortoise can turn around easily and not get stuck. There are wooden arms for each lid to stay open and are a nice touch. It is a decent enclosure for new owners, during hurricanes or winter, and for tortoises that do not need humidity. Not ideal for long-term use or a permanent habitat.
Best for VERY SMALL tortoises

This arrives in a box, needing to be assembled, as expected. The instructions for putting it together aren't always clear, so pay very close attention. One point to keep in mind is that it doesn't actually tell you anywhere in the instructions when to put the (non-removable) plastic tray in the bottom, this should be done before putting the divider in. There are also no predrilled holes for things like the latches and the arm to attach the lighting to, so be careful with your measurements. The habitat itself is okay, the materials feel a little flimsy though, especially the latches. The wood in some places had started to split where the screw holes were predrilled. The windows to look into the habitat are nice and having storage space on the bottom is convenient. The overall finished look is nice. The size is a bit small. This would probably be an appropriate size for a young/small tortoise, but it's just not enough space for my Elijah, he is a 23 year old Russian Tortoise. This may also be acceptable for someone in a warmer climate that has outdoor space for their tortoise and just wants a space for bringing them in at night. It's a decent product, but there are some things that could be improved. If you have a small tortoise, or a tortoise that has another larger space to spend time in, this could be right for you!
Great little hut

Overall I’m very happy with this hut. It gives my tortoise a safe, comfortable space and has extra storage underneath for supplies. Assembly was fairly straightforward and the wood feels sturdy once everything is put together. The size is good for my Russian tortoise. I also like that it has a divider area, so you can separate the habitat into a “warm side” and “cool side” . One thing, is that the wood isn’t sealed, so if you plan to use water dishes or want higher humidity, I’d probably add a waterproof liner. Overall, it’s a great starter habitat that looks much nicer than a plain tank or plastic bin, and it blends in well with home furniture.

My son and I received our PawHut Tortoise Habitat. It took us about 45 minutes to put it together, all the pieces were included. We did use an electric drill to make it a little faster. I think this little tortoise house is perfect for rearing a baby tortoise or housing smaller tortoise in the winter. My pictures are of an adult hermanns tortoise.
Eva loves it!
This great for my baby tortoise! She has somewhere to go and sleep, plenty of room for her to roam, for now anyway. Only issue is that the bottom tray is permanent

A little difficult to clean, but not impossible. Overall, I’m really happy with it. The extra shelf is really nice to store things and the height is nice to be able to see in and not bend over.
