It is recommended to use a 1:1 mixture of white vinegar and warm water. This is a natural, safe, and effective disinfectant that neutralizes the smell of ammonia (urine). Alternatively, you can use a specialized small animal cage cleaning sprays sold in pet stores. Do not use bleach, regular household cleaners, etc. These chemical residues are extremely harmful to a hamster's respiratory system and health.
