Just what we needed
We moved from the west coast to the east coast and needed a winter shelter for our sulcata. This will do very well, I don’t think she will be able to use it more

This will do very well, I don’t think she will be able to use it more than 2 winters, but it gives us time to build a larger enclosure for her. I like the ease of the light area and the hiding spots for her. The plastic floor does make a scarring sound with her toenails so we needed to add more bedding
It’s a fantastic tortoise palace!

This dual enclosure is currently being used by my Russian tortoise on one side and my Greek tortoise on the other. They vary in side and depth, but both fit amazingly well. Not only is it great looking, it’s super functional and a great way for our pets to enjoy their lives. The pet store sold us glass enclosures years ago and unknowingly we used them not knowing they were not ideal. This is working perfectly and cuts down on the banging noise. We love it! I’ll break down pros and cons next: Pro- Great functionality, good looking, very useful for dual tortoises, having a built in hide area and “kitchen” area will be easy for cleaning, easy access with top openings, lighting setup is nice, easy cleanup, shelf is nice, sturdy once filled. Cons- Will need someone with some knowledge of assembly and use of drill as some holes were not pre drilled, no set up for UV bulb, plexiglass is kinda tough to unwrap. I’d recommend to anyone to make the purchase, you won’t be disappointed!
Nice upgrade for hatchlings
It was a little challenging to build- but it was also a fun project! Make sure you have a few sizes of screwdriver/electric drill. I used to keep the hatchlings

I used to keep the hatchlings down on the floor in a tub- this is going to be much nicer for them and way easier on my back and knees. There's a nice place to hang a heat lamp and the UVB fixture fit nicely against the wire top (UVB needs to be ~12-18" from the tortoise to be effective). It would also keep cats/other pets away from young tortoises. The only way to get the substrate back out is by vacuuming/sweeping, but luckily the substrate doesn't need to be changed too often.

It took several hours to put together. The one thing I was disappointed in was the quality of the wood panels. They were decorative, but flimsy. I liked the double hide outs and the optional separating panel if one has more than one tortoise. The hideouts allow for plenty of gravel or sand to be on the floor of the habitat so my tortoise has plenty of room to make his way into them. I love the storage underneath this habitat. That really helps keep his food and accessories convenient.

The hut design is very cute, but overly complicated. There are 3 different areas you have to open individually to find your critter and/or clean. Assembly took
The hut design is very cute, but overly complicated. There are 3 different areas you have to open individually to find your critter and/or clean. Assembly took about 2 1/2 hours. The two sides are sort of mirror images which I missed at first and I had to disassemble and reassemble a few pieces. The hinges to hold open the tops on the two sides are hard to install and a bit awkward to use. Holes were predrilled in some pieces but no pilot holes in some other places. The wood was low quality but comparable to other similar huts we have assembled. Screws can strip in it and It splits easily. The shelf under the hut is a very nice feature to hold supplies. The over-arm support for holding a heating lamp seems pretty good with limited use so far.

Arrived broken
I opened the box to find that the bottom tray is cracked in multiple spots. It's very cheap quality.

Looks nice - hard to assemble!
Looks great and my box turtle loves it. I took out the divider so he has the entire space. Was difficult to assemble. Easier with a partner and not a beginner type
