Is it safe if my dog licks her nose? Can it also be applied to paw pads?

It's recommended to distract your dog from licking this moisturizer off before its absorbed.This nose balm was specially developed to hydrate, soften and to help protect the nose with natural SPF with regularly use. It can be apply on the paw pads, but for greater protection of the paws, the Pawtitas Paw Balm is recommended.

We have purchased a couple different nose and feet balm for our Frenchie. The creams are nice but such a struggle to use on a wiggling dog. We purchased this because the price is low and it was worth a shot to try it in the stick form. I was excited mostly for her nose. I minute I opened it I noticed it smells pretty awful. Menthol or tea tree? I'm not sure the exact smell but it's strong. I picked my pup and and she immediately was trying to wiggle away from the smell. I covered it and she was fine. I calmed her down and opened it again and she looked at me like I offended her ancestors. I got the smallest amount on her nose and she about jumped off my lap. I've tried to condition her to it over the last week or so and she isn't having it. In all fairness, I have yet to find one that doesn't have a strong smell. If your pup isn't bothered by strong smelling things, I'm sure this works wonders but I can't even get within an inch of my dog with this.

I tried this on my dogs sensitive nose and it turned very red when she went outside. Her nose is pink in spots and very dry. I’m not sure what else to try to soothe

My Newfie had a very dry, cracked nose tip. It was like a big cracked fin on the end of her nose. Within three days it was totally gone. I'm amazed at how fast

My Newfie had a very dry, cracked nose tip. It was like a big cracked fin on the end of her nose. Within three days it was totally gone. I'm amazed at how fast this worked. Now I put a little bit on her nose at the end of the day to keep it moisturized and she's looking great. Can't recommend this enough.
