how much wider does the opening get per size?

Answer by ChewyDec 06, 2018
The rubber material of the boots is able to stretch so the opening size difference will not determine the best sizing for your pet. The sizing is based upon the paw length.

I'm trying to figure this part out what happens when they "dig" to go poopoo? Will boot tear

Answer by ChewyFeb 06, 2019
These boots are made to be durable. However, it depends on how determined your pet is.

Bought according to size chart in size small for my mix 34 lb pup. While in theory the length is correct, the opening is so super tight that I couldnt even put two fingers in it . And Im not big! Several attempts only resilted in tearing the cheap plastic. I have had dog boots. These aren't. They are overpriced black balloons. The Chewy agent who refunded me was super nice though so thank you for that. But now I have 14" of snow and a tender-pawed and slightly irritated by my tugging dog. Put the money towards actual boots.

I’ve been a dog mommy for over 25 years and these are the only ones that will stay on their feet. Be aware that you might only get several uses out of each “ballon” but that’s why you get a lot of them in the package. The photo is with the red ones on that I purchased elsewhere. Every size comes in black and the colors are specific to the size. I went a bit larger to make room for nails and it’s a bit easier to get them on.

rubber booties to protect paws from snow and ice buildup

Pawz are thus far the only (booties) that do not fall off dog in deep snow. Tough to keep nail trimmed and ground smooth to prevent puncture through the rubber pawz

What was great about this product is it protected her paws from getting super muddy and tracking in dirt from the rain but what wasn’t great was the fact that she ripped through them the first day. Which is unfortunate because we were really looking forward to this product. But if u want to buy a pair I would recommend it for smaller dogs that might not be able to chew through it as it worked on my other dogs that were both Brussels Griffons at the time.

Cut off circulation

These are very poorly designed. The opening even for the correct size for my dog is so small to insert his paw that it will cut off the circulation.

Pawz are easy to put on and work awesome briefly

I own & have tried so many shoes for my baby bc he sleeps with me and I do not want the debris of the world walking over my sheets & blankets. Pawz work awesomely

I own & have tried so many shoes for my baby bc he sleeps with me and I do not want the debris of the world walking over my sheets & blankets. Pawz work awesomely while they are 100% intact. Sometimes I will double up on each paw especially if one gets a tiny hole (bc then dirt/water will get in. Doubling up works fabulously. Also, using a flashlight to ensure there aren’t any tiny holes works like a charm. While I couldn’t give 5 stars is bc often TOO OFTEN - a PAWZ will totally rip apart right at the start of use. I have had this happen so many times that you really don’t get 12 it’s more like 9 per pack. This is very frustrating and annoying. But atleast you have typically 9 good ones. I have tried a pair of other shoes that cost $19.99 for one set and they were done after one walk. Also it is way easier for me to put these on my baby. My husband has bigger fingers so it more difficult for him. I have a Lhasa Apso and he wears size small. It might be easier for men with the larger size PAWZ. But my husband is able to get them on as for taking them off I do it gently with using a finger whereas my husband just pulls them off. Overall, I am very grateful for PAWZ.

Way too small even after c.s. advice.

Lilly and me were told to keep her black small booties and donate them. No refund. So I bought a size up. There ok. Don't stay on her feet well.

Great idea BUT

I have no problem getting them on my pups' paws, but getting them off is terribly painful and difficult because I end up pulling the hair on their paws and legs

Don't last

Went through the pack quickly. The booties are thin, lasting 2 uses per bootie.

My dog has been partially paralyzed for 6-7 years. We use these boots when we walk him on the street so that he doesn't get abrasions on his toes. I believe I have bought more than $1000 of this product. When they work, they are good for protecting his toes and way cheaper than a vet visit. On the other hand, they are a $1.50 water balloon, and at least 20% of each pack is defective and tear apart even before you try to put them on your dogs foot. The QA on this product is terrible. I would love to find an equivalent thick water balloon product and drop this product.
