Will Bag Balm protect my dogs paws from snow / ice damage when she goes outside?

This product is perfect to protect paws in harsh weather such as ice and snow.

I understand that there’s no added fragrance in Bag Balm, but is there any odor? My dog has not liked other balms/waxes I’ve tried because of the odor.

This moisturizer contains Lanolin which is derived from sheep. Lanolin does have a natural odor.

To reduce the chance of residue, be sure to thoroughly massage the balm into your pet's paws. Bag Balm can stain, but to remove stain, it's recommended to mix dish soap with baking soda and apply to stain. Scrub and let sit. Rinse and repeat.

Not safe for cats

I found out that this product is not safe for cats. If you do put this on your pet please make sure they don’t ingest it. It has Lanolin and 8-hydroxyquinoline sulfate

I found out that this product is not safe for cats. If you do put this on your pet please make sure they don’t ingest it. It has Lanolin and 8-hydroxyquinoline sulfate in it. When reading the websites description, and all the amazing reviews, I thought it would be okay for my kitty. I double checked the ingredients after I received the package because I wanted to be extra safe just incase. Please be weary when giving to pets, I for one will be having to purchase a different balm for my kittens dry nose this season. 3 stars because I’m sure it’s a great product, for humans not for pets

This balm was almost an immediate fix for my Poppy-Love. The inner folder of skin at her hind legs were always red even with her being an inside dog and regular baths. Now she is just about clear of this issue since using the balm. Her paws I use it to just keep them soft and supple...at first she licked off but now she does not lick it off...happy Poppy-Love happy mom. I like that it comes in the tin.

My Norfolk Terrier recently turned 10 years old and we are just starting to incorporate paw balm into his routine. I have read that as dogs get older their paws can become drier and more sensitive, so I wanted to take extra care for him. This product is a great travel size and very easy to use. Chewy also did an excellent job with the packaging and delivery. Overall, I am happy with this purchase and feel good knowing I am adding a little extra care for my senior pup.

Great Stuff!

Used this for a hot spot on our grand dog. Area healed very quickly. Also used it on a hard area on my cats paw for about a week, area is now soft and normal.

My dog is not fond of this but I think it helps her foot pads when the weather is below freezing. So, like it or not she puts up with it. I think it helps.
