it's generally safe as the balm is non-toxic and designed to be safe for dogs. While some gastrointestinal upset could occur if a large amount is ingested, it's unlikely to cause serious harm. It's best to try to distract your dog to allow the balm to absorb and work effectively.

Peanut likes to jump to say hello and his paws always make a rough scratchy sound on our clothes - almost like velcro. After 1 application of this balm, his paws are no longer rough! We've been putting it on once a day and his paws are only getting softer/less cracked. And unlike other oils, he doesn't try to lick this off! Plus, a little balm goes a LONG way. This tub should last forever!

Good for dog paws.

It is good for our dog’s paws. It is easy to apply to our dogs paws. It makes her paws nice and smooth. Although she tends to lick them I guess it’s okay for her

That it's Palmer's but that's just a marketing strategy

I'm concerned that it doesn't say it safe if dogs lick it and has ingredients for humans I don't feel it's safe and I'm hesitant to use it since dogs usually don't

I'm concerned that it doesn't say it safe if dogs lick it and has ingredients for humans I don't feel it's safe and I'm hesitant to use it since dogs usually don't like to wear socks, as mine does not, and licks it after application and doesn't stay on. I'm going to use coconut oil instead since it's natural and safe to lick and return this product.

Works great

I use this on all 3 of my dogs. Especially with cooler weather coming, it keeps paw pads moisturized. Our oldest, Sassy a blue heeler/lab mix, has very dry paw pads

Old dog Dry Nose Palmers is Winning

Duke had a dry crusty nose. Tried all sorts of things. Nothing worked. Gave the Palmers a shot. Within a week it was improved. Just a tiny but across the dry area

Duke had a dry crusty nose. Tried all sorts of things. Nothing worked. Gave the Palmers a shot. Within a week it was improved. Just a tiny but across the dry area is all that was needed. Now that it’s not crusty I use the snout wipes first to get off any dirt and dry skin and then the Palmers daily to maintain. Duke is much happier and less of a mouth breather!

Nose balm

It's really hard for a balm/cream. Can't get it completely rubbed in and then he tries to get it off as soon as he can. It doesn't absorb into the skin.
