Pearhead Christmas Wooden Pawprints Ornament

I ordered two kits, one for my parents as Xmas gift & one for myself. The ink pad is too narrow for large paws (2.5" wide) my 95 lb dogs paw barely fit with me squishing his toes together. The ornament is a large 4" diameter & nice quality. The instructions were useless, I had to look up YouTube tutorials to make sure I was about to do it right. You get 1 try so make sure you get it right. My dog is very well-behaved so I knew he would cooperate but if your dog doesn't cooperate or hold still, I recommend using a post-it note pad to practice with your pup so they know what to expect. Just pressing the paw on the paper pad without ink & reward with treat if pup cooperates. I had to press on my dogs paw pretty hard to get the paw print to show up. One print turned out ok I guess but I'm not happy with the 2nd ornaments print. Tried to re-do the 2nd ornament by pressing his paw exactly over the same spot on the ink pad & ornament but it didn't turn out any darker or any clearer. Couldn't get a nice, dark, clear print like what's shown in the ad, no matter how hard on the paw I pressed. Not sure if I recommend this product as it's very finicky, you really have to have a cooperative dog, you get one chance to get it right, you have to press very hard on the ink pad to get a decent print, ink pad is too narrow. It is a nice quality kit overall though. You also get a marker so you can write your dogs name on the ornament or the date. Keep the packaging so you can store the ornament in it & protect it until next xmas. I really hope this honest review has been helpful. See photos for reference.
