About This Item

Details

  • Create a stunning flow of bubbles while increasing the aeration in your aquarium
  • Uses a standard 3/16” connection to attach to tubing and air pumps for a steady stream of bubbles
  • You can connect additional air stones or ornaments to the other end, which is much more efficient than running tubing from each accessory
  • Can be set at any angle in the tank or even buried without the fear of clogging
  • A second connection allows for the addition of more air stones or ornaments so there is no need to run an additional lines all the way back to your valves or pumps

Do I need to purchase an air pump to use this?

Answer by ChewyMar 13, 2019
This add-a-stone accessory does require separate purchase of tubing and air pump to connect to.

How does it work? I have it hooked to my air pump but only a couple of tiny bubbles on the one end come out.

Answer by ChewyMar 24, 2020
An air stone usually has one port that attaches to an air tube in order to provide oxygen inside a tank. This product has 2 ports on opposite sides of the frame. An air tube attaches to one, and the other is to link multiple stones together. This way, only one air pump is needed, and with only one air tube.

Do not buy

Works horribly. Do not buy. The bubbles do not come out even with the suggested air flow fixes. Wish I could get my money back

I wouldn't recommend

Stone only provides air out of one side. My little one generated air on the whole stone no need to be so large if the whole thing isn't going to work

How to Solve the Bubble Shortage

I have purchased this item many times and it always has a bubble shortage. It does not distribute the bubbles evenly and or it's a sad little trickle of bubbles

I have purchased this item many times and it always has a bubble shortage. It does not distribute the bubbles evenly and or it's a sad little trickle of bubbles that come out. However, I Found a Solution... HOW TO CREATE MORE BUBBLE's: Lightly scratch the surface of the dark blue stone. (I use my fingernails or the back scrubber of an old sponge). Start off lightly as to not create huge gaps or holes in the stone. You may need to test it a couple of times in a small bowl until you have reached your desired amount of bubbles. (Lightly scratching it creates openings in the stone allowing bubbles to come through). Also, make sure the cap on the other end of the stone is Extra Tight. For some reason, it has a loose fit and air escapes out of the end creating a loss in all pressure in order to produce bubbles in the rest of the stone. It is an inexpensive stone that is why I take the time to get it working properly. I also like the length of the item. Other stones are round or small. Hope this helps
