These cats were new to me. The are adults but started clawing my funiture. I have many posts but they would not use them. I was desperate. Ordered a bunch of different scratching pads. Thank goodness they like them. They do use this one but prefer the ones they can lay on.

Honestly this is a great scratcher, but I wouldn’t use it by the litter pan to catch litter like it suggests. My cat is a butt and peed on one and the other one

When I saw the scratching pad it occurred to me that standing on hind legs at the post might be uncomfortable for an older kitty. Evidently I was right because as soon as I put one of the pads on the floor, she was in a happy scratching frenzy.
