Our cats were tearing up the corner of our leather couch. Our cats love scratching this post just as much as the couch so they leave the couch alone. It stays in place too. It really works and looks decent. A little clunky but it’s better than seeing a shredded couch.
Other than this being so much bigger than I thought I have Crown molding around the walls and this does not go up to the wall because of that
This was a great buy!! My cat is 8 years old and has had many scratching towers, scratchers that hang on the door, a large cardboard scratcher (he hasn't touched this once...), etc. Regardless of how "catified" my house is, he always scratches my couch or ottoman. I placed this corner scratcher on the back corner of my leather couch and I am SO GRATEFUL for it!! It is now his most used scratcher. Although it come with a way to stick it on, I just set it against the corner and it doesn't move at all. I gave the review a 4 because I feel it is a bit overpriced. If I had more than one cat who loved this as much as Watson does, it would need to be replaced within a year. Overall, I highly recommend!
Bought this because my cat kept trying to scratch at the corner of my couch. I prefer this to other couch protectors because it can just fit against the corner without having some kind of support base that’s meant to go under the couch, which can be irritating to have to lift the couch to make sure it gets under the leg/foot. It basically supports itself as long as it’s resting against something, so it works as the ultimate couch protector. They even have Velcro strips on the inner corner in case you do end up needing to anchor it for particularly rough or strong scratchers. My cat’s never that rough, so I didn’t need to use them, but I like that the option is there. My cat also likes to sit on the top platform and demand her treats. All in all, I think it’s an excellent product and would definitely buy again if I ever need another.
I specifically bought this for the fact my cats like to stretch on the corner of the walls in the house and also have been going after my couch to scratch, even though I have a huge scratching post and a cat tree and other scratching surfaces they can use. So I decided to buy this and stick it on a corner next to the couch to see if that helps. So far most of the cats only use it to lay on top of it. But other than that this scratching post is a lot taller/bigger than I imagined which I’m not complaining about because my cats love to stretch long when they scratch. It’s also study and seems well made. My only complaint is it doesn’t fit flush against my wall because I have molding/baseboard that prevents it from doing so
Was much bigger than I realized which was actually a plus! Completely protects the couch. Cats love to perch on it as well as sharpening their claws.
Initially this item surpassed my expectations. It was a good height, not too bulky and my cats took to it right away. Within a couple of days the fabric/carpet lining the outer edge was tearing off in pieces and the main scratching material was loose, not a tight fit the the wood. This is cause for tearing nails on a cat which did occur to my cat. It's a good concept but a flawed design or workmanship. Unfortunately it has become more of a hazard and I will be getting rid of it. Secondly, and at no fault of Chewy's, the box it arrived in was torn up and missing pieces of cardboard from being punctured and then had gotten taped back on in a half-manner.hearted manner. I wouldn't recommend this specific item.
My cat is very sweet, but he loves clawing the back corner of our couch. I bought the corner cat scratcher and placed it at the corner of the couch. It covers up the hole and my cat loves scratching on it and he loves sitting on top of it.
