how many would I need for a 45 gallon tank
Answer by ChewyOct 05, 2019
There is not set amount of bubble disks that should be used for a 45 gallon tank, and instead you should base your decision on factors like amount of room on the floor of your tank, how many airlines and pumps you have, and the kind of environment you are trying to create for your fish.

what size tanks is best for this product/

Do It Come With A Air Pump And The Tube Or Do I Buy My Own Pump And Tubing?
Answer by ChewyOct 24, 2017
The air pump and tubing is sold separately.

How do I set it up
Answer by ChewyOct 28, 2019
To set up this bubble disk attach airline tubing to the Bubble-Disk and place in the aquarium. Then allow the Bubble-Disk to soak for 15 minutes before turning on the air supply. If after extended use algae build-up reduces airflow, remove it from aquarium and clean its surface with a stiff brush.

Works Great

Larger than expected and it works great! We have an adjustable air line and we have it set at about half open and it is still a huge amount of bubbles. We have one in our 40 gallon and one in our 125 gallon and they both are perfect.

Very Happy

I've got 6 of these in 4 different tanks. My only complaint is they don't weigh enough to stay at the bottom of the tanks. I do believe pump size has a lot to do with these working properly. The smallest pump I'm using is for a 30 gallon aquarium. I don't soak them either. I'm very happy with them!!! They work better than the bubble wands in my opinion!!! Will definitely buy these again when needed!!

Penn-Plax

The 2 Penn-Plax Deluxe Bubble Disks were disappointing. Instead of sinking to the bottom of the aquarium, they both float on the surface. Even when I put them under the gravel at the bottom of the tank they still managed to work their way to the surface.

Doesn't stay on bottom

Well let it do its soak before use for well over time instructed and having issues with it staying on the bottom had to set quite a few rocks for it to stay sunken to the bottom and doesn't put out alot a bubbles

Disappointed

I soaked this per instructions for 15 minutes. When I hooked it up to the air line and put it in to the water. Only a few bubbles on a small edge came up. So I soaked it over night still did not work.

Great Round Bubbler

As with every round bubbler I have ever used, it requires suction cups relatively close to the bubbler base, on the air tubing line, to ensure it doesn’t float. If you have a decent pump, this bubbler will not stay on the bottom without one. I used 2, one basically at the base and one 6 inches down the line and adjusted the airflow to be lower to not disturb the sand. This bubbler is just the bubbler. No tubing, no suction cups, no pump. Intended to buy this as a stone to go under the volcano ornament in my tank, but this bubbler is “Large”, as described. Now we have a steam vent feature in the tank. The cory cats like to hang out in the middle of it.

the disk that didn’t work

Does not work like shown. Bubbles only came out one little spot even after letting soak.
