This platform is designed to be used for basking. If the plastic is melting, the heat source is too close.

We recommend measuring the amount of space available in your tank. The Small platform measures 11.5 inches long by 9.5 inches wide by up to 12 inches tall fits small and large tanks and features 3 additional pylons for an adjustable height of up to 12 inches. The Large platform measures 16 inches long by 11 inches wide by up to 16 inches tall and fits medium to large tanks and features 8 pylons for an adjustable height of up to 16 inches.
