Bird-Attracting Seed Guide

Sunflower seed attracts cardinals, chickadees, sparrows, and more, or try millet for juncos and sparrows. Thistle attracts finches, while fruit is great for robins and bluebirds. These mixes make it easy to attract a variety of beautiful backyard birds!

Feeding Tips

Try tube feeders with adjustable ports for small seeds like thistle and finch blends. Other mixes work well in standard feeders, or use suet cages hold suet and seed cakes. Take care with placement—it may take birds up to two weeks to find a new feeder.

Allergy Free Food for My Parakeet

My old parakeet has allergies to corn and most vitamins are made with corn. I buy organic oat groats and use these seeds and my bird is thriving. Very hard to find

Too much millet, not enough of what finches like.

I had a different finch food before with sunflower bits, and Nyjer seed. The finches loved it. I have not had a single bird at the feeder since I put this

Full of burrs

We have gotten this brand of feed for several years and the last 2 bags were full of burrs. Very disappointing and potentially dangerous for our wildlife friend

Full of Burrs

I've been buying this brand for a few months with no issues, it's nice for my feeders with small holes, HOWEVER, this time the bag was full of Burrs and sticks

I've been buying this brand for a few months with no issues, it's nice for my feeders with small holes, HOWEVER, this time the bag was full of Burrs and sticks. The sticks aren't the end of the world, but the Burrs are dangerous and if they end up on the ground can get stuck in my pets' paws or grow and cause an even worse problem. I had to pick them all out which took quite a while. Very disappointed.

Usually great, but this time very disappointing.

I've been buying this food for a few years now and I really like it because there are no fillers such as rice grains and seeds that birds can't possibly open to

I've been buying this food for a few years now and I really like it because there are no fillers such as rice grains and seeds that birds can't possibly open to eat. The bags I received in my latest shipment however were very disappointing. They contained a lot of very sharp prickly burrs of some kind. I had to put the first bag through a colander to catch them all and throw them away. The burrs are very dangerous for birds because they can get stuck in their eyes and cause blindness. Very irresponsible of the company to not remove them before packaging the seeds. Since the first bag contained burrs, I have to assume the other three bags I bought at the same time will also have them.

A great variety of different seeds an nuts

I love feeding the birds and whatever they spill on the ground the doves and squirrels quickly eat up.

I guess it was a decent price- the local birds go thru food pretty quick.

The birds seem to be fine with eating it- I mix it with another type that has a different seed mix. I'd prefer some of the larger seed type (sunflower, corn, etc)

Seed was OK

I think there was more wasted than with another brand. Less birds on the feeders, a bit higher priced than others.
