Horse Likes It!

Our horse was resisting Pergolide in the tablet form, despite hiding it in drilled-put carrots or handfuls of his Senior grain mix. Took a chance on this compounded version of Pergolide. Had my doubts about it since he would not eat apple-flavored Bute. Surprised when he ate this added to his Senior mix and continues to eat it without objections so far. Compounded version seems to cost less than the tablets we were giving him. Win-win.

Excellent Cost Effective Choice!

This is an excellent cost effective choice to treat a horse with Cushings disease. It is extremely easy to use, it has a great smell, and no issues with our guy eating. We were looking for an alternative to the name brand pill form of this medication as it has become difficult to get him to eat it. 10/10 recommend this as an option!

Horse loved it

When it come to pergolide, I found this was the best option, both in price and ease to give. The only issue is, I got the double dose needed, to give a 1/2 scoop vs entire scoop and last two months vs one month, and the scoop is VERY small, so was a bit of a trick to get the 1/2 scoop, but can be done. Horse took it easy with or without feed over all. Only sadness is not sure how well it worked, as horse passed away 17 days after starting, leaving me also with over a month's worth of medication. Horse was 31 and 1/2, going on 32 in March, and had been with cushings from as far as I know starting at age 29, so was just happy to have her as long as I did. Only regret was not starting this medication sooner over the name brand pergolide that would make her lethargic.
