squirrels love it

i bought this so my cardinals could have food. It is my 4th feeder trying to deter the squirrels. The squirrels can climb a free standing metal pole, get on top

i bought this so my cardinals could have food. It is my 4th feeder trying to deter the squirrels. The squirrels can climb a free standing metal pole, get on top of the feeder & swing it so that seeds fall out. They can also wrap themselves around the bottom & eat out of the holes. My cadinals fly away.

Do not buy for Redbird. The mesh provides opening too small to get a black sunflower seed through. Other smaller birds can get smaller seeds through.

NOT FOR CARDINALS

Since hanging this Cardinal Feeder, we have had NO Cardinals. Lots of small finches, no Stellar Jays. We had a Suet feeder before this one. It attracted lots

Since hanging this Cardinal Feeder, we have had NO Cardinals. Lots of small finches, no Stellar Jays. We had a Suet feeder before this one. It attracted lots of Cardinals but also, lots of Jay Birds.

Compact, lite but hard to fill

Nice little feeder but has a major drawback. Didn't realize it's collapsible. While I like the idea, it fills from the top so almost a two person job for that reason

Nice little feeder but has a major drawback. Didn't realize it's collapsible. While I like the idea, it fills from the top so almost a two person job for that reason. Also, because of the way the lid is secured, it isn't very squirrel proof. With enough swing, the top loosens. Attracts smaller birds. Have only notice one cardinal.
