We live in a house full of stairs, and have installed pet gates hither and yon to help keep our pets safe. One stairway is in a very public area, and I was looking for something more attractive than the standard pet gate, affordable, and easy to use. This pet gate fit the bill. It’s sturdy, nicely made, and came packaged very well. I will say our dogs are not rambunctious, so I wasn’t worried about a completely secure barrier.

Very Attractive Free-Standing Wood gate with Metal bars

This is the perfect 3 panel gate. It stands up well and I was even able to adjust the foot pads to deal with my uneven floors. The metal rods provide stability

This is the perfect 3 panel gate. It stands up well and I was even able to adjust the foot pads to deal with my uneven floors. The metal rods provide stability and strength, and it appears they will stay in place far better than previous all wooden free-standing gates. Just remember when ordering this gate that the metal rods are 1.8 inches apart. Small animals might be able to get thru the bars. I loved the gate not only for its looks but also its functionality and strength.

This gate was very nicely packaged and arrived in perfect condition. It is not self-standing if you line the panels up straight but is stable if at least one of the panels is bent. The gate is a nice weight and metal but I would not use it to secure a dog no matter the size. It will serve to remind my dogs that the stairs or other areas are off limits to them. My dogs are all large so can easily step over these gates but they do respect boundaries. I received this gate today and just ordered a second one.
