This freestanding gate works for what it was intended for but does stand a bit crooked and has a horribly strong odor for what I am guessing is the stain. After opening the package I needed to air out the room and even had to leave outside for several days but it still has a strong odor. I constantly need to ventilate to room its in because it gives me a headache. Good for intended purpose but strongly suggest purchasing a different one unless used in a properly ventilated area.
Functional

Love that these are easy to set up, remove and store. Bought these to block off my garage entrance to allow my dog to be in the garage with me with the garage door up. My neighbor saw them up and gave me a great idea to buy some five dollar pinch guards from a popular online store to hold and make the connections stable in case my little dogs jumps on the gate. Great idea! I recommended the gate and I’m very pleased with the purchase.
How cheaply it was made for $ 50
Nothing Cheap made I would give it a zero if I could !! The spin deals are very flimsy - first one - they were broken The chemical smell is extremely bad- had

I was looking for a gate to keep the dogs away from the door on Halloween. We have two access points to the door, and the layout doesn’t allow for locking something in place. These proved invaluable on Halloween. You could just open one panel easily and keep the dogs from joining you.

The gate is VERY lightweight, which is nice for moving it from place to place, but not so nice when it comes to serving as a gate. It’s so lightweight that my (almost 12 week old) puppy can push right through it unless I zip tie/bungee one end to something, and wedge the other end behind something. It would work fine for dogs who have already learned not to challenge gates, a token reminder barrier. But if they’re of the age where they still try to get through a gate, they WILL most likely get through this one. My husband jokes that it does a good job of keeping the stuffy toys from escaping. It’s definitely too lightweight for our purposes, which was to keep our new labradoodle pup contained to the kitchen (which has a very wide opening). I bought the cheapest, and now I’m paying the price. I wouldn’t feel so bad if I’d only paid $20-25 for it, but it was almost $50. On the plus side, it appears decently made and folds easily.
Very lightweight
My 15 yr old dog just pushed it out of his way. Unless you tie it down some way it is not suitable as self standing gate for dogs.

Adjustability
Works great for my small blind dog. Free-standing, adjustable and sturdy. It also covers a good bit of space
