My pad burst in microwave
I have used the hard disks or pads that heat in the microwave for years and never had a problem.This was my first soft gel disk and used it a few months and then it burst in the microwave.I am so glad it was in the microwave and not in my dog's bed.It was a mess to clean up.I followed directions,and it does have instructions on heating this thing slowly,but it still did not last.
It's ok...
I bought this with the intention for my stray cat. Instead of buying disposable hand warmers that add up to a lot of money. It didn't really stay warm for very long. And that is probably on me for wishful thinking it would be a more affordable option. It is made very well and warming it is simple enough. The cover it comfy. Perhaps I can use it more in the summer to keep him cool. For indoor use I guess it's best suited.
Didn't even get to use it
I loved the size of this and was excited about not having to worrying about overheating like an electric pad. But the first time putting it in microwave for 3 rounds of 30 sec, and at 60% power like instructed, one of the sides broke and started oozing gel. Wasn't even warm to the touch yet. Never even got to try it in my dog's bed once.
Great product
I'm getting ready to have 2 litters of puppies. This will be a great size for the 2nd girl & her puppies. Also I like that it can be warm or cold. New Moms often need a place to cool off away from puppies. This will serve double duty. Also like the low profile & flexibility, easier for puos & mom to get on & off the pad.

This is a very lovely well-made cooling bed. It’s suited for a very small cat or kitten, so I wish I had gotten a larger size. But I definitely recommend it. I’d say the average house kitty should have a size large.

Great for Seniors with Arthritis
I have two older girls - a 13yo Huskamute/GSD and a 12yo GSD/Husky/Carolina Dog. My oldest has arthritis in her wrists and one hip, my other baby has an unimaginably long Shepherd back and tail and has a little soreness in her hips and the base of her tail. I use these heating pads nightly in the winter and it really keeps their pain levels way down. I love this product and it enables us to use less prescription pain meds for the girls! And Shelby won’t sleep without hers when it’s cold.
