After 4 failed efforts to get our former feral cat into a carrier to get her spayed, I ordered this carrier because of the larger openings. We were able to get her into it this morning. I had the sides rolled up so that she could see in 3 directions through the mesh. She was quiet during the whole ride to the vet. When I picked her up, still asleep from the anesthesia, she was stretched out comfortably and remained that way at home for several hours.

But I borrowed my father's carrier and it worked out very well. But this one is poorly constructed. I will be returning it.

I am very happy about this purchase! What I got is excellent for the price w/the accessories & carrier quality. I was searching for a carrier that will allow my 2 skittish, bonded boys to stay together en route to the vet. The carrier is bug enough for that, plus the top loading is convenient and the side covers over the mesh are nice for cat comfort.
