Will this work for a back side door of a Rav4 or similar vehicle? My dog only rides in the back seat and I would like to find a ramp that works well to prevent joint issues and injuries jumping out of the vehicle.

What is the weight? What is the incline? New vehicle rear side doors do not open to a 90 degree angle. He has always ridden in the back seat. Thank You

Pet Gear Free-Standing Extra Wide Pet Ramp weighs 20 pounds and is 23 inches high.

Would this work for indoors to get on and off a couch or too large?
Answer by ChewyJan 24, 2018
That would depend on your couch and the area it's in. This ramp is 23 inches high and 55 inches long.

What is the folded length of this ramp.
Answer by ChewyJun 01, 2021
When folded, this ramp measures approximately 33 x 21.25 x 7.25 inches.

Not impressed

This ramp is way too steep and there is no raised edges like it said, my dog wasn't having it , he is 130 lb 13 yr old labradoodle with hip dysplasia so I will have to send it back

Not recommended

We bought this for our 2 labs to get in and out of the car. We thought the ramp would be better than steps. We’ve tried several times and they won’t use it to go in or out. It is too slippery and they can’t grip to use it. Their nails just scratch up the “grip” that is supposed to help them.

Too Steep with Poor Traction

This ramp did not work well for my two Labrador retrievers. It’s too steep and lacks sufficient traction. They slipped and their legs fell off the sides. It may work better for smaller breeds.

stable easy climb for aged spaniel to get on my bed

I tried the step ramps but my old guy has a hard time on that. This is a wonder. It unfolds - watch those fingers - which is great for vacuuming and can be moved so if I decide to sleep on the other side of the bed, no problem just move it to the other. My guy is almost blink so the tactile difference on the ramp helps him navigate I think. So, yes very happy with this and probably need to buy one more.

Very Durable, but too steep

The ramp is built very well, but I had a hard time convincing our dogs to climb up. It was steep and they did not like the texture of the nonslip surface. I thought about using a rubber mat but thought it may slip. I couldn't get a longer ramp to reduce the steepness because it would not fit in the space I had available. I've decided to go with steps instead.

Ramp for my Bff.

Love it! My Bella, who weighs 56#, hurt her back legs, running in the forest. This ramp gets her in my van and on my bed. I'm a 67 year old handicapped Grama. I can't lift her, this ramp keeps us together!

Too sloped

My mastiff has a hard time using the ramp. He uses it, but it is too much of a slope. If he doesn't get a quick start on to the ramp, he struggles to stay on the ramp. I weight 160lbs, he weights 128lbs and it is very durable and supports us both really well. I find it very steep too. It is too awkward and kind of heavy to move out of my way. My dog uses it 99% of the time to get into bed. It has a rough texture that isn't pleasant to rub against. I had the ramp for awhile and the rough texture seems to slowly wear away.

Works wonders for my older dog!

I bought this primarily to help my one older dog to get into my truck without me having to pick her up! With some exposure training, she picked it up right away and I think even likes using the ramp! However my lab will NOT PUT ONE TOE on it! lol My biggest issue with this ... is how clumsy it is! It’s pretty big and there’s no handle or way to easily just pick it up and throw it in the truck. If it had a better way of maneuvering... it’d be 5 stars for sure!

Pet Ramp*Wide

The ramp is to help my Pekingese get onto the bed. He has used stairs since a puppy, he has gotten older and can no longer get up the stairs. He has a bad back and back legs. The ramp is working very well. It took getting use to because it is a bit steep, but now all is good. It is saving my back since he was having to be lifted.

Free standing dog ramp

The ramp is very sturdy and easy to handle. However, my elderly dog is refusing to go up it. I’ve tried coaxing with treats but no luck. I think this is going to take some time and patience.
