How much weight will it hold?

This ramp will hold 200 pounds.

Our dog sits in the back seat of our SUV. Does this ramp allow us to set up outside of back seat door entrance?

This ramp can not be used for the back doors of a vehicle. There will not be enough room for the ramp and there is no safe place to secure it.

could I use it in an in-ground pool? My dog wants to swim but will not go past the second step in to the pool. A ramp would help.

While this ramp does feature a slip-resistant surface and rubber grippers on bottom help keep ramp steady even if wet, it was designed for use with vehicles.

How wide is the tread on this ramp?

The walkway on this ramp measures 16 inches wide. It features two guide rails along each side measuring 1.75 inch making the whole ramp 19.5 inches wide. The guide rails are slightly raised along the edges so the pet can feel if they are close to the edge.

I noticed my dog seemed to be experiencing increased joint pain after needing to jump to get in and out of my SUV. When considering a ramp, I was concerned she would be afraid to use it, since she can tend to shy from unfamiliar things. This ramp proved to be a great solution. It's wide enough and solid enough that she was comfortable using it almost immediately after introducing her to it.

Solid...Heavy...Works...Use Caution

Bought this for my 95# Lab to get in the back of my VW Tiguan. It is solid and does the job; my boy has no problems using it to get in or out of the car. It took him a while to get used to using it, but that's a dog problem, not a ramp problem. The only downsides to this ramp are that it's big, heavy, and takes up a lot of room in my smallish SUV. There is a handle on one side. The abrasion on the other side from standing it up on its side to fold it has rubbed off the reflective appliques. I've also scraped my fingers on the nonskid many times maneuvering it to fold it. And pinched myself while folding it. I recommend this ramp if you have both a medium to large sized vehicle and dog. I'm actually replacing this one with something more appropriate for my vehicle...and dog. Cheers!

Somewhat awkward but usable.

To my surprise, we have been able to use this ramp. My German Shepherd suffers from hip dysplasia, so he has little power in his hind legs. I use a harness to keep

To my surprise, we have been able to use this ramp. My German Shepherd suffers from hip dysplasia, so he has little power in his hind legs. I use a harness to keep hold of him as he goes up, and the first few times I had little pieces of hotdog on the ramp. it was an awkward ascent. Decent was much easier. The rough footing is good, but the sides of the ramp don’t do much to keep him on track. If it was even wider, it would be better. I’m 73 years old and in pretty good shape. The ramp is awkward to handle, but manageable. I gave it four stars because I don’t think the width is optimum or the sides. Also, if you can park so that the bumper of your car is lower than where the ramp will end, you can greatly reduce the steepness of it , I’ve been able to park in some places where the ramp was almost lateral to the car bumper and an easy walk for the dog. I wasn’t having to hoist him up the ramp.

I could not be happier

So my 10 year old cattle dog, who was having terrible difficulties with the one step to the patio, has finally learned how to use the ramp. She goes up and down

So my 10 year old cattle dog, who was having terrible difficulties with the one step to the patio, has finally learned how to use the ramp. She goes up and down like a champ. Super happy with the width and the length of it making the slope not a factor as some ramps are so short. And the grip on the ramp is actually grip and not a slippy slide like some other ramps I have purchased. I do not use it for the car, but I suppose it could be, I just don't have that kind of vehicle. Cheers!

Sturdy enough but slippery

I got this fir my dogs to use over a small set of stairs outside our building. It does the job fine but thr surface doesn't have enough grip in any kind of weather

I got this fir my dogs to use over a small set of stairs outside our building. It does the job fine but thr surface doesn't have enough grip in any kind of weather. You'd need to spend more on adhesive strips to make it easier for pets to use, especially heavy seniors like one of mine. The width and folding capacity are good but the slip factor really lets it down
