Problems solved
By Daisy on Feb 11, 2021
My dog, Daisy, is 1/2 wolfhound and 1/2 mastiff, so she's extra large. She's over 13 years old, doesn't see well and has little strength in her back legs. Taking her to the vet or groomer was an ordeal that I always had to schedule for when I could get help loading and unloading her. So I ordered the ramp. The order said it was delivered, but it wasn't here. I called Chewy and they immediately sent me another, no questions asked, they just solved the problem. When Daisy needs to travel, I raise the back seat and she rides on the floor in the cab. I put the ramp on the running board and it was a very small step for her to get in the cab. I thought it might take some practice, but she just walked right up and walked right down. No stress for her. No stress for me. No help required. Problem solved. The ramp is well made and sturdy, so it is also a little heavy. What is missing is a latch to keep it in one piece after you fold it up and a handle for carrying it. For me it's awkward to carry and when I was putting it in or out of the truck, it tried to come unfolded, making it more awkward. That's why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. If I were younger or stronger or had bigger hands to hold it together, I may not have noticed or thought it was an issue. … more

Needs adjustments
By Chris on Jan 19, 2021
Purchased this for our aging lab. Initially refused to go up at so had to use treats to entice him. The surface however is like sandpaper. Not much of a grip so he was sliding couldn’t get traction and almost slid off the side. Needed two people to help push them up the rest of the way. Decided to try to fix it so he can get a better grip. We purchased rubber thresholds and fasten them to the ramp in hopes of this allowing him to get a better grip to walk up it. Still had to entice him with treats because after almost falling off it the first time he was hesitant to try it again. Did help with the added accommodations. Sturdy ramp
By nJen on Dec 13, 2020
What a lifesaver this ramp has been. Our French Bulldog had surgery on her spine for a ruptured disc which has left her with temporary partial paralysis. Every time she had to go outside to the bathroom, we would have to carry her over the few stairs that we have leading in and out of the front door. This was beginning to take a toll on our backs. With the ramp now in place, we can walk her out while supporting her back end with a sling. I chose the wider ramp to make her feel more secure about this new walking surface. She caught on quickly and going in and out is no longer the chore that it was. Definitely recommend.

Great for Large Dogs
By Lynn on Dec 28, 2020
Fast and easy ordering and shipping ! Currently we r working with our almost 14 yr old Lab to get him to feel comfortable walking up and down it Starting with a one step incline So far so good Today we will increase the incline working our way to the height of the Chevy Equinox So we will give him an advantage of starting at curb height eventually Love Your pets

Liberating!
By Finn on Sep 27, 2020
Our dog tore her ACL while on steroids for anemia. Her weight has gone from 60 to 73 pounds and we no longer are able to lift her into our Suburban, so we were pretty much housebound. This ramp has allowed our dog to get into the vehicle safely so trips to the vet are now stress-free and we can actually go places knowing the dog can get in and out easily. Great product!

SUV vs. Bruce (131 lbs)
By Bruce on Dec 1, 2020
Bruce has a neurological issue and no longer has the strength to load up in our SUV. It took a few tries (building trust of ramp) and he can go up and down the ramp with assistance for guidance only.

Great ramp
By KLPT on Sep 26, 2020
This ramp worked beautifully for our steps leading up to the house. It is very sturdy so our terrier, who was skeptical at first, learned that it is safe and fun! Reflective strips are an extra bonus.

Perfect ramp for Aging pet
By Kirsten on Jul 24, 2020
My dog is now 10yrs old and with my hatchback being higher than average off the ground I got this ramp to prevent a "bad jump" in/out of the car. While many reviewers complained about the "sandpaper" feel of the grip it doesn't feel rough on my bare-feet just on my hands. Laid it flat on the ground until my dog was comfortable walking on the ramp before trying it with the car. Held up nice and steady. Does have some weight to the ramp if you but its a light 25+lbs

Exactly as described
By DebM on Sep 7, 2020
This ramp is exactly as described. It has a nonslip surface and is sturdy. Unfortunately, I’m still working on coaxing my dog to walk on it, but we’ll get there. Will upgrade to 5 stars once I can get him to use it.
