Can this be washed ?

There is a bottom part inside that can be removed & washed & air dried. I now find it easier to just leave a towel or washable pee pad in it ( my dog is trained but vomited during a car ride), just bc I can then still use it right away if needed without worrying about bottom part drying.

Can this carrier be fastened to the rear rack of a bike?

Is the bottom hard or is it flexible??

I have had a Pet Gear carrier for over a year. I have 2 Maine Coon cats, so when both traveled in my care one was in a hard-sale carrier and the other in the newer Pwt Gear. I liked the Pet Gear carrier so much that I purchased a second one. My cats seem to prefer it, too. It is easy to put them in the carrier and with a soft bleated or pad they are very comfortable--and safe. Thank you for an excellent product and one that folds and stores easily.

Seems sturdy, and keeps my dog safe in the car

I like the construction, it seems to be sturdy and good quality. I like the netting so that my dog can see out even with the cover latched closed. I like the mechanism

I like the construction, it seems to be sturdy and good quality. I like the netting so that my dog can see out even with the cover latched closed. I like the mechanism to attach the seatbelt through it. I bought the 19" long x 13" wide model for $54.99. I felt like the price was good, and the size fits my 14 pound Yorkie mix dog. I tried keeping her in it on a car ride using her harness and the included tether, but she was anxious, and was still able to work her way out of the carrier and onto my center console. But once I latched the cover closed, she laid down calmly and was fine for the rest of the ride. Previous to having this carrier, I have tried running the seatbelt through her leash strap, at various points in the car, but she always managed to stretch the leash to maximum length and/or step on the seatbelt release, so she always ended up in my lap or on top of my gear shift. I am very happy with this purchase. I think it will ensure much safer, calmer car rides for both of us going forward.

Easier to get the cat to travel

We just open the lid and set her in, then lock it. She can see out. I bought a sherpa liner. So much more cozy. MUCH easier to get the cat to the vet!! I leave

I have had these in the past and just wanted to replace the tired ones.

The quality is not the greatest. neither one of them stay latched shut on one side and so it makes carrying the girls difficult because they try to get out.

This carrier is roomy and your little fur baby can see through the mesh. You can even buckle them in the car. My little ones love their carriers
