Dogs love but I don't love the smell

    By on

The wrap-a-pill paste is the best thing I have found for giving my dogs their pills - and they both have several each day. It's easy to use and you can give them just a tiny bit, depending on the size of the pill. The first flavor we tried was the bacon and cheese and it was great. Then I got this one (bacon) because it was $1 cheaper. The dogs like it as well as the other one, but I can't stand the strong smell. Will finish this container and then go back to the bacon and cheese. Haven't tried the peanut butter.

I am not the dog, so I don't know how it tastes

    By on

I have two greyhounds that take medication, one is four time a day and spits out even the wrapped pill the other gobbles it down! The wrap helps get it down the one who spits it out as the wrap becomes slimy after it gets wet! Makes pill giving 100% easier with difficult dogs!

    smells like Pine-Sol, not bacon

    By on

There is something wrong with this product. I bought it as a substitute for the Tomlyn Pill Masker, which was out of stock. I have used the Tomylyn product for years and it works very well. This Pet MD product is described the same way ("bacon-flavor") and the package is nearly identical to the Tomlyn, so I thought maybe Pet MD had bought Tomlyn or something, and that it was probably the same stuff. In fact, this new product smells more like Pine-Sol than bacon. It has the same texture but is terribly unappetizing to my cats. And on top of that, it is more than double the price of the Tomlyn pill masker, which used to cost about $4.00 for the same size container. I went to another site online to see if I could find the original Tomlyn product available and I was able to order it, so I am hoping it will continue to be available elsewhere because THIS product is not worth purchasing from Chewy. … more

Thought my cat would like it

    By on

So I had some pill wrap from my VET but was getting low, so decided to look elsewhere. I think my cat just doesn’t like the flavor, because she eats the other one no problem. Sadly, I won’t be ordering again but mainly bf my cat did not care for the flavor.

Tasha did not like this paste at all...

    By on Top 1000 Contributor

I have a dog that needs to take a pill each day so I thought I would try this. Forget it as the dog eats everything in her dish but the pills covered in this paste. The smell is not that great for a bacon flavor so that could be why she won't touch it. It does not smell like bacon, trust me.

    Wrap a pill bacon flavor

    By on

My dog loves this flavor! Takes his twice daily meds with no issues! I think it has a weird smell, but it's not for me! I like how I can use just what I need for the size of pill I'm giving!

Decided to try something new for Hiding meds

    By on

I did not care for this product so much. The aroma was not pleasant and I did not care for the consistency of it either. I will keep it for a backup if I should run out of my pill pockets which rock.
