Got these for my French Bulldog. The treat states it’s a chew. It isn’t what I was expecting. This is a hard chew, similar to a dental chew. Due to the small size my girl just swallowed it whole! Not good! She ended up vomiting for 2 days before it finally came back up! If your dog chews things, this may be great. My girl does not and it’s dangerous.
My 15yo chihuahua has been enjoying these treats for many years, it helps her with her scooting (hence the name) and she loves to eat them. I cut them in half because they're a bit big for a small dog, but they're a great addition to her diet.
I think it’s working. Haven’t had the stuff very long. Seems to be helping. Dogs like it.
I had to put peanut butter on them to get them to try them...they ate the peanut butter but left the bars...
My dogs have some anal glad issues, we end up having to switch up the supplement we use because the dogs digestive systems seem to "get used to" a certain supplement and then it stops working, so we have to switch it up again. This is the 3rd time I've had to "switch it up" in about a year. My sister swears by these and it's her dog's favorite treat so we tried these. We're 3 weeks in and so far so good! No anal gland issues! Hopefully that sentiment will last longer than a few months!
We give our dogs many of Pet Natural's products and the Scoot Bars help our dogs have less need for manual expression of their anal glands.
My little guy has had problem with his glands since he was a puppy. I rotate between adding pumpkin puree to his food and giving him one of these every few days and he has much healthier glands and seems much less affected by them. I am a huge fan, not to mention the only ingredients is pumpkin
Awesome brand, Awesome product. Highly recommend both
My dog never has gas; we feed a premium dog food (Red Paw 32K) and don't give her junk treats. The day of eating one of these she was just unplesant to be around as it seemed her whole backend just smelled. I cut back to every other day thinking daily was too much. Then I did only M, W, F and now I'm thinking of just throwing away. Don't waste your money - as these are $$$.
Finally something easy to get my Nymeria to stop licking her butt, scooting her butt and having occasional butt juice leakage (my sweater will never be the same). She’s only an 18lb beagle, so one of these a day is perfect. They are a little hard, so I keep an eye on her when she gets them. It did take almost 2 months to see an effect, but I’m glad I waited because VICTORY!! We now have good, firm, gland draining poops! And my wallet is not drained!
