Would this work to stop an 8 week old Shih Tzu puppy from going under a recliner if placed on floor under the chair? Also can the sound be heard by a person or just the animal and would it harm or upset a bearded dragon?

It's recommended to measure the space you'd like to place the Sonic Repellent Stay Off Mat as it can be placed on almost any horizontal surface. This mat measures 48 inches long x 8.5 inches wide x 1 inch high.
Do they have to get on the mat? My couch is bigger than the mat.

This mat is touch sensitive so your pet would have to touch the mat physically to activate it.
