My dog can't tolerate much fat in her diet. Beef heart has become a staple due to the low fat content. I've had to throw away over $100 of this product in the past 2 months because more than half of every bag is filled with CHUNKS OF PURE FAT.
My dog jumps around whenever he sees the bag. The texture is a little bit strange; a cross between a dried sponge and compressed sawdust, but he can still smell it quite well!
My dogs are fed a homecooked diet and the organ meats can be challenging to find! These treats are great and my dogs LOVE them!
I home cook for my dog who has kidney disease and a heart issue. I always worry about my home cooking being properly balanced. In regular pet foods, they include things like heart,(which supplies taurine and needed for heart health) kidneys, spleen, and liver. I could not bring myself to cook these items so decided to give Tao a try. It has solved the problem. My dogs love it given as treats just as it is or rehydrated and given as a topper on their food. It is rather pricey though.
