These covers are designed to be used with the Pet-Temp Instant Pet Ear Thermometer which should only be used on pets.

The thermometer has a built-in battery that will last 4-5 years.
After reading the bad reviews for this product, I have to add a fairly good one. Yes, some of the covers do break when inserted onto the thermometer, which is frustrating
After reading the bad reviews for this product, I have to add a fairly good one. Yes, some of the covers do break when inserted onto the thermometer, which is frustrating. The thermometer does not work without the covers. However, the thermometer with the covers is fairly accurate. I’ve taken it to my cats’ vet appointments several times to see if it matches with their rectal thermometer, and each time it has come up with just a few tenths of a degree difference. It is a good tool to have on hand to make a quick assessment of your animal’s temperature.

These things suck
You're lucky if 5 out of each pack are actually usable. The rest just tear when putting them on. The thermometer is even worse. The whole thing is worthless.

The first time I used it, it seemed ok. Each time I used it after that, in the same day and days after, it did not work at all. It went immediately to "Low". I
