Is there a shelf life on the LifeGold liquid product? No expiration date on bottle. For a 1-yr-old cat with sneezing/upper resp issue she caught from older cat (who is better).

Answer by ChewyOct 17, 2019
The expiration date for each bottle will be listed on the base of the bottle. Overall, these are good for 4-5 years from the date of manufacture.

Is it safe to give this supplement to my cat everyday when she is taking prednisolone 5 mg per day ?

Answer by ChewyDec 16, 2020
It's recommended to speak to your vet before combining supplements with medications, for the safest option.

How to feed that to my cat? Just drop in my cat’s mouth? Or I need to dilute it with food or water?

Answer by ChewyJul 21, 2018
The feeding instructions recommend to administer orally by dropping directly into your pet's mouth. Give 1 drop for every 2 pounds of body weight up to 50 pounds and for pets over 50 pounds add 1 drop per additional 4 pounds. Shake well before use.

After our 16-year-old cat's mammary cancer returned two years post-surgery, we found Life Gold while looking for supplements and treats to support her health. She’s pretty picky and doesn’t like wet food, so we resorted to dipping Whole Life Freeze-Dried-Salmon treats into this Life Gold liquid supplement, or occasionally sprinkling Life Gold on her kibbles. I’d like to think that she’s made it this far due to her diet post surgery. Besides excessive belly grooming (normal for her), she has generally been herself and not exhibited any concerning symptoms or behavior over the years. For those interested in her cancer journey and diet, see full story in pictures.

My coworker needed a place for her kitty Sammy to stay and when I picked him up he had a bad case of sniffles and runny eyes. Used this on him and by the time the bottle was gone he was healthy! It helped him beat the kitty crud and also helped to get him on track to being healthier overall. Now, Sammy is my kitty boy and he will always have a stable home and a healthy life!

We unfortunately only got to use this product a few days- we started it too late with my pet. After her first dose she seemed to be swallowing better the inflammation in her neck went down significantly. I can’t say for sure if it was this med but after about two weeks of her not being herself she started rubbing and loving on us again. I read so many reviews all over before purchasing and I’d recommend.

This product made my poor fur baby so sick. The side effects are terrible, this medicine is too strong for cats make them sleep a lot and out of it for days!! Until they finally come back to life, this product is lethal and needs to be pulled off the shelf. I believe it is toxic to cats.

My boy, Biscuit - diagnosed with gastrointestinal lymphoma. Currently in palliative care - I have to administer injections of predlionsone and B12 because nothing he eats sticks to his system and he has soft stool and often diarrhea. So I thought this product might be good after reading reviews. Biscuit is a picky, picky tabby - anything different in his food he will turn from so I gave it to him from the syringe and he gagged and spit it out. All the good reviews about cats with cancer doing better, I wanted this for him, how do you get a cat to take something that makes him gag? I guess this wasn't for him:(

My cat was diagnosed with a very large mass about six weeks ago. I consulted a holistic vet to try anything I could to help him stay with me longer without any conventional intervention since his condition was so advanced. This is one of the supplements she recommended. The ER vet didn't think he would last a week, but he made it for six weeks longer with a good quality of life, so maybe this helped. I don't know for sure because I was using other supplements too, but I'm glad I tried it. I didn't have a problem administering it. It does have a scent, I guess like bacon, but fortunately he ate it mixed in with churu. I'm thankful for the extra time with him and would use this again if ever faced with another cancer diagnosis.
