This is for EXTERNAL USE ONLY. The directions per Chewy website under “feeding information” state “Add 5-10 drops of AnalGlandz to 1/4 cup of warm water. Soak a clean cotton swab in this solution and apply a gentle pressure as a hot compress directly over the anal opening. As a maintenance dose: Repeat once or twice a week.” *1/4 cup is approximately 59.14 mL per Google conversions

Very good for cat scoot

My alley cat has had problems her entire life and is on a regimen that includes a prescription food, Glandex powder and (when I'm good about doing it) AnalGlandz

My alley cat has had problems her entire life and is on a regimen that includes a prescription food, Glandex powder and (when I'm good about doing it) AnalGlandz. And seriously, I think the AnalGlandz is the best remedy of the bunch. So why don't I use it more??? Anyway, I can tell when she's developing an issue because of course she scoots, but if I look, I can also see dark plugs in the area. But even if dark plugs aren't there - clearly there is an issue. I use as directed - warm compress using a cotton ball. I usually repeat twice and for as long as she'll put up with it - On the 2nd compress (after softening) I add a gentle massage. My cat gets a little squirmy, but not because it's uncomfortable - just a cat. The plugs will be gone and then she finishes the treatment with her own cleaning. Beats the vet expressing and is much easier on her body. Now when I take her for any visit, Vet says no need to express.

did not meet my expectations...

Still have to take pet to vet to express glands. Applies as directed and it did not do the job.

Doesn’t help

Our dog did not seem to benefit from this product. It is awkward to apply also.

It really works

I'll never forget the first time I came across this item. I was desperate to find a solution for my cat's swollen glands that wouldn't cost me a couple hundred dollars

I'll never forget the first time I came across this item. I was desperate to find a solution for my cat's swollen glands that wouldn't cost me a couple hundred dollars. I even tried to squeeze her glands after watching a youtube video. (I still feel guilty about that.) The first time I used this Betty hated it. She was so sore back there but then the swelling went away. I give it to her periodically and now she purrs when the cotton ball is on her butt. She knows what's up.

It work's!!

Works great. Use daily, mix up solution then reheat to use a few times. Keeps anal gland secretions liquid so they can excrete them. Also include healthy green veggies

I made the mistake of not understanding that this is not to be given internally. It is to be applied externally. However, my dog goes absolutely insane even just applying a wipe to his rear. He has a fear complex that is worse than any dog I have ever seen. My previous dog would have had no problem applying this. Therefore, I have a bottle that I can't use. My mistake!
