Isn't its first ingredient, Belladonna, poisonous to dogs?

Answer by ChewyAug 18, 2020
PetAlive EaseSure-M Nervous System Support Dog & Cat Supplement is a homeopathic remedy. Homeopathy uses the belief that "like cures like", meaning that large doses of a substance (like belladonna) may cause certain symptoms in a healthy person, but smaller doses of the substance can relieve the symptoms in an affected person. These tinctures are diluted many times over, using the homeopathic belief that highly diluted forms of an original substance make the medicine more effective in engaging the body's natural healing processes. This makes the belladonna safe and effective.

Is the dosage for cats 4-6 drops 2 or 3 times a day? Or is it 4-6 drops as the total number of drops so each dose would be 2 drops?

Answer by ChewyNov 18, 2020
Use a dropper or syringe to administer into your dog or cat’s mouth, or mix into its food or water, 2-3 times daily. For cats and dogs under 20 pounds, give 4-6 drops each time. For dogs 20-50 pounds, give 0.25 mL each time. For dogs over 50 pounds, give 0.50 mL each time. For acute symptoms, administer every 20-30 minutes as needed or until symptoms subside, up to 10 doses.

Is this to be used on a daily basis?

Answer by ChewyMay 27, 2018
This supplement can be used daily.

Will this help with seizures? My cat takes eassure-s but, that's no longer available and these ingredients are different.

Answer by ChewyJan 01, 2021
This supplement is not intended for treating seizures. We recommend speaking to your vet to see what would be suitable for your pet's current treatment plan.

I think it helps!

I give this to my anxious dog during thunderstorms and other stressful times. It appears to help. If only they could talk!

Not so sure about this product. I have tried other homepathic drops for my cat before that she would lick up and not give me any trouble taking. This one though...she shakes her head and walks away. Does not readily take and fusses with me over it. Have to hide it in water and makes it less effective as it dilutes it down.

My 12 year old lab mix, Einstein, is suffering from laryngeal paralysis. This is a problem common among Labs, Golden Retrievers and German Shepherds. Treatments for this disorder are very limited with surgery being the first recommendation. However, surgery on a 12 year old dog is too dangerous. The only other recommendations that I could find in my researching this problem were acupuncture and EaseSure-M. I started with acupuncture and then, when I learned of EaseSure-M, I purchased it and began giving it to Einstein immediately. There has been a noticeable improvement in him since I started using this product. It has enhanced the effects of the acupuncture and allows him to recover faster from the breathing problems associated with LarPar. I know it's not a cure but it does help.

When I first adopted my chiweinie Baby, she had bald spots on her scalp and very little hair on her chest and abdomen. First the vet thought the lack of hair in these areas was due to pattern baldness, which Dachshunds and Chihuahuas can have. Then the doctor decided to work her up for Cushing's disease, which can also cause hair loss. The labs came back "borderline" for Cushing's. The vet didn't recommend any treatment at the time, but said we'd monitor Baby for other signs of hyperadrenalism, recheck labs as needed, etc. I had never had an animal with this disorder before (prob. due to pituitary adenoma), and was rather distraught at the idea of my new baby's having this disease. I started looking online for more info and somehow found Cushex. I had never heard of this remedy before and wary of using any over-the-counter substance. But the reviews for Cushex were very good, so I ordered a bottle. Within a few months Baby's chest and abdomen had more hair on them. The bald spots on her head are still there, but she has shown no other signs or symptoms of Cushing's. I was afraid to tell our vet what I was doing. But on Baby's next exam, she was amazed at the hair regrowth. Baby's labs were greatly improved, as well. The vet said, "I don't know what you're doing, but keep doing it!" I have been using Cushex for about six years now, and Baby continues to be asymptomatic. (At our next appointment, I'm going to finally divulge the source of Baby's improved condition!) Baby was two or three years old when I adopted her and is now going on 9!!

My cat recently was diagnosed with Glaucoma, shortly after she began drops and started to become wobbly. I rushed her to the vets and they advised she may have a blood clot or a tumor which is causing this as it appears she now has a neurological condition. They gave her an antibiotic and started her on steroid therapy and the only follow up so far has been to touch base with them once a week. While we are continuing the therapy I came across this. I checked with the manufacturer to see if anything in this formula would interfere with her drops and or steroids and they advised it would be ok. Checked with the vets and he approved this for use. It’s been almost two weeks and although things are going slow I do see improvement. She is less wobbly, she’s more engaged and less overwhelmed , less head shaking and overall like I said it’s slow improvements it’s been steady. We have been making slow and steady progress. So I would def recommend this. It is worth a shot.
