Bought this so I could bring my old lady on walks with us. It's easy to open, get her in, and is pretty secure with all the buckles in place. I just need to figure out how to keep them tightened because they did loosen a little during our first walk. Overall though, I really like the portability, the sturdy base board, and the little viewport at the top front of the backpack!

The facts that they can pop out for more space so that even our 13 lb long haired cat was able to comfortably moved around, sit up, and curl up in easily too! Pockets and zippers for treats too! Highly recommend these bags, if you are on the fence, BUY IT!

I really appreciated the lightweight yet durable construction of this backpack. It was also a very visibly pleasing color that stood out. I liked that the zippers locked in place, and that the mesh was strong enough to resist my cat's claws. It was breathable and he could see me while I drove. I also liked that it has a soft, removable wooly pad for cleaning ease. The only thing that I wish had been somewhat different was that once the extension was fully out, the bottom of it didn't feel as supportive for my cat's body until I put the backpack flat on the passenger's seat. If the extension had had a longer, removable extension pad to put in place while the backpack was fully elongated, it would've been ideal. The pockets were a good addition for little extras like treats and small bowls. The zippered front pouch was really good for pet wipes and little packets of cat nip without spilling. Overall, I was VERY satisfied with this backpack and would recommend it for a small to medium sized cat. Thank you Chewy!

My 12.5 lbs dog loves it

I use this backpack all the time for my 12.5 lbs dog. Usually, she walks wherever we’re headed and then we use the backpack extended as a portable crate. It’s great

I use this backpack all the time for my 12.5 lbs dog. Usually, she walks wherever we’re headed and then we use the backpack extended as a portable crate. It’s great to take to a friend’s house so that she has a “safe place” to go. I have also carried her around in it. It makes transporting your dog so easy. It is slightly larger than the required measurement for an airline carrier. We left it lying around open and threw treats in it every once in a while. Now, she will jump in it on her own.

I should have read the reviews more carefully because a lot of them point out that this bag is WAY too small for an adult cat!! And the pop-out extension is a nice idea but it’s hard to set up or break down without removing the cat. Overall this bag is just NOT comfortable to use as a backpack, and the panel that pops out adds a lot of bulk. I also found it harder to get my cat inside compared to other carriers. The top is too small to be an entrance and the sides open up entirely, which makes it harder to get my cat to stay in while I’m zipping it up. My cat does like sitting in the (extended) bag at home, but unfortunately that’s not what I bought it for. If you’re looking for a comfortable cat backpack, don’t get this one!!

Too Small for my 14lb Havaton

While my pup is well within the "weight limit", I wish I had read more of the reviews. It is a great idea BUT I need it to be bigger for my pup to be able to travel

While my pup is well within the "weight limit", I wish I had read more of the reviews. It is a great idea BUT I need it to be bigger for my pup to be able to travel on an airline with me. If it was a bit taller, it would work. Also, I wanted to wear it on my front (not back) so that my pup doesn't get scared. However, he can't see me even when I wear it on my front. I'm going to have to return it.

Loved this item! I picked up a puppy from the airport and flew home with her and this carrier saved my back as I navigated two airports. Easy to fold up and nice

Loved this item! I picked up a puppy from the airport and flew home with her and this carrier saved my back as I navigated two airports. Easy to fold up and nice pockets on the side to carry small items. Only downside was it didn’t completely fit under the seat in front of Tod me, but the stewardess’s didn’t seem to mind. Little uncomfortable as it took up most of my foot space, but other than that, this truly was amazing to walk around with!
