Happy customer here! I’ve purchased this bag and yes it has a sturdy bottom to it so your pet still feels like they’re on stable ground. It has very little flexibility on the very bottom side, but the rest of the bag is perfectly flexible so they dont feel too restricted either.

Can the dog lay down in this pet sling or must they be in a standing position?

This carrier measures 13.5 inches in length, 6.5 inches in width, and 11 inches in height. The right-sized pet will be able to lay down comfortably.

Is the opening for the dog's head flexible?

Exceptional quality

The best feature is the flat bottom with plenty of space for her to turn around if she wanted to, and I appreciate it being able to close the head hole during takeoff

nice quality

This carrier was well made and comfortable to carry, however it was smaller than it looked in the photos, so getting my cat to agree to get into it was a struggle

This carrier was well made and comfortable to carry, however it was smaller than it looked in the photos, so getting my cat to agree to get into it was a struggle. One thing I wished was that there would be a choice of right or left shoulder design. With the pet facing front, this was designed for the strap to be on the left shoulder. Nice quality, though.

10 Pounds would be a stretch

My mini-dachshund is 10-11 pounds and he was too big. The way the drawstring is set up, makes it very awkward to get him in it. I suppose the extra "length" may

My mini-dachshund is 10-11 pounds and he was too big. The way the drawstring is set up, makes it very awkward to get him in it. I suppose the extra "length" may have something to do with it, LOL. Aside from that - it appeared quite well constructed and comfy. I'd say it would be perfect for up to 8 pounds, 10 pounds without the extra strech of a doxie.

Not airline approved

I bought this carrier for my 2 1/2 lb puppy, because I travel often. It’s beautifully constructed with a lot of space to carry accessories, and my dog loved it

I bought this carrier for my 2 1/2 lb puppy, because I travel often. It’s beautifully constructed with a lot of space to carry accessories, and my dog loved it. After a couple of flights, I was told that it WAS NOT approved for travel on American Airlines. There was only a drawstring to enclose the dog, and she could easy open it. There is a collar/harness attachment, but it was too restrictive. I ended up buying another, more secure carrier by the same manufacturer (which, unfortunately wasn’t available through Chewy), and, while it’s not as comfortable as carrying a crossbody sling, it is airline approved and my dog loves it. Again, it’s a great carrier, but if you’re looking for one that is fully approved, this is not it.

the carrier was too small.

The instructions say it should hold a 5 lb yorkie puppy. Very disappointed.

I love the look and the length of it it is ideal. I would not recommend for more than a 6 to 7 pound puppy, from my experience, but probably up to 10 pounds
