We have an incontinent cat, he leaks urine while resting, anywhere from 2 tablespoons to over half a cup in volume at a time. We use these blankets in every size, we have them on the floor, on living room furniture, on the bed, covering carpets, etc. They are excellent in their waterproof capacities, when our kitty gets up I can literally wipe up his urine with a towel or paper towels. They are waterproof so the liquid beads up on them, it does not soak in even after a couple of hours. I have picked up the blanket carefully and taken it outside to dump it off. If you move the blanket with liquid on it, the liquid will roll off. These blankets wash super well on the bulky setting for the washer. Though they say to dry them on low heat, I routinely dry them on the highest heat possible and for a very long time. These blankets are the best, we have multiple types and brands but these are the best ones by far. My kitty doesn't even realize he's laying on a waterproof pad, they are very soft and pliable, do not make any of that plastic noise, and are very soft and plush. If you're looking for a blanket that absorbs the liquid while also being waterproof, these are not going to fit the bill. There are others on the Chewy site that do that. The liquid on these stays completely out of the fabric, it just lays on top.

Wonderfully fluffy, but hard to wash
I do love this blanket - is waterproof as advertised and very fluffy and comfy. We both love sleeping with it. The only issue is that I live in an apartment and

The only issue is that I live in an apartment and use a laundry room and it's incredibly hard to wash. I even washed in an extra large washing machine, but none I've found ring the water all the way out. I have to run it through the dryer multiple times, as I can't control the washer settings once it's going. If you're able to wash, then run it through a spin cycle an extra time or two, you'll probably be fine. I suspect if I'd gotten the small blanket instead of queen, it might not be an issue.

I was genuinely shocked at how effectively this blanket prevented liquid from seeping through and onto my sheets. My elderly kitty has thyroid issues and pees on my bed multiple times a day, sometimes when I’m sleeping in it. This blanket makes the urine just sit in a puddle on top and doesn’t absorb any of it, so I’m completely dry underneath. I just soak the puddle up with paper towels and throw the blanket in the wash. It’s also very soft and fuzzy and doesn’t make any crinkle sounds nor have any rigid padding that would make sleeping uncomfy like most washable furniture pee pads. It’s just like a regular blanket. I have no idea how they made this possible but I’m very happy they did!

Super soft!
My girls love this blanket. It is super soft and cozy! We really love popping it in the dryer and heating it up and wrapping around them after their bath.!

Washed one and it wasn't as hard as other reviewers sounded, but I only washed 1 Large blanket. I did have to dry it for 2 60 minute cycles.
