Makes 3 birthday cakes

I purchased this in order to make a birthday cake for my dogs. Last year I bought the PetCakes birthday cake kit with dog bone shaped cake pan, so I was happy to

I purchased this in order to make a birthday cake for my dogs. Last year I bought the PetCakes birthday cake kit with dog bone shaped cake pan, so I was happy to be able to just buy the cake mix rather than another kit with pan. One thing I want to clarify is that this refill box says is makes 9, but if you're using the birthday cake size pan, it will make 3. There are 3 packets of cake mix in the box. The expiration date on the product was several months, I think 6, so I didn't feel rushed to use them all at once.
