What’s the best yogurt to use for the frosting?

Answer by ChewyAug 17, 2020
It is recommended to use plain Greek Yogurt or plain Goat Yogurt. Do not use yogurts with added sugar or xylitol.

My cat will be 6 months old this October can kittens eat Petcakes?

Answer by ChewyAug 13, 2021
PetCakes products are safe for all ages and breeds, but not all pets are the same. You should feed a very small amount the first time. Wait until the next day to review the end results (poop) and if all is good on that end, then continue to portion control throughout the week. We do not recommend feeding the entire cake at one sitting. The cakes have to be refrigerated and can stay there for up to 1 week or frozen for up to 1 month.

What flavor is the cat’s cake mix?

Answer by ChewyAug 10, 2020
To add flavor to this cake, first add water and a teaspoon of canned chicken to the cake mix, pour the batter into the pan, place it in the microwave for 3 minutes, let it cool and watch your cat enjoy a health, soft warm cake. For a complete list of cake mix ingredients, click on the 'Nutritional Info' tab, next to the 'Description' tab, just under the product photos.

Made these for our 5 cats and Daniel enjoyed it the most! The cake is very chewy and can be hard for more delicate cats to eat. Our hunt motivated cats took right to it but we needed to chop it up for them to truely enjoy without making a mess. Buy for the cute mold and reuse for other treat creations.

Adjust what you add

My cat loved this! Without adjusting the recipe I doubt he would of though. Instead of water I used cat-sip milk. I then added a chicken squeeze up for the batter

My cat loved this! Without adjusting the recipe I doubt he would of though. Instead of water I used cat-sip milk. I then added a chicken squeeze up for the batter and a salmon squeeze up for the frosting. After taking photos I mushed it all up for my cat and he ate it all up and wants more!

I had so much fun making these, i put organic chicken from a can, mixed inside the batter then microwaved it and my cats went crazy for them. I do not recommend the "frosting", my cat took one lick and started foaming and salivating. The heart attack I got. But for the plain ones they loved it! Next time I'm going to use a turkey mix that chewy has to add to it. Besides the frosting, the only con is the recommended time limit in the microwave, made some parts very hard; please fix that.

No ingredients

Didn’t even get to try this for my cat’s birthday cause all they sent me was the little fish mold tray not even the mix or frosting like it says.

This smelled awful cooking but quickly disappeared. I added the optional chicken in because I figured why not. It was very easy to put together and make. The mold is adorable and can be reused. My boys tend to be picky. They licked at the “frosting” and nipped at the treat. I later had to cut it down up for them. They chowed down after that. Like others, this was nothing Halloween themed.

Disappointed and Gross

They wouldn't even come near it and the "frosting" smelled like spoiled milk.
