How EXACTLY does it work? I mean, if you were to leave a dog with a oil scent pad in it, The dog may go crazy thinking the owner is home. So, how would this let the dog relax?

The PetChatz Scentz Dog & Cat Essential Oil Drop Pad Refills is just the cotton pads that the PetChatz Scentz (sold separately) are applied to and inserted into the PetChatz unit to dispense the calming scent while using the PetChatz unit.
