Poor design quality caused premature failure

My cats loved the concept of the water fountain and drank from it much more than their water bowl. The design is poor quality though and it doesn't last. The legs

My cats loved the concept of the water fountain and drank from it much more than their water bowl. The design is poor quality though and it doesn't last. The legs kept falling off and the submerged wire that powers the pump is so short and tight that it eventually cracked and shorted, so the fountain no longer works after just a few short months of use. We didn't even get a year out of this nice gift we received for our new cats. The replacement filter cartridges are undersized and barely filled with resin and charcoal to do the work of keeping the water fresh. When you hold them up to the light you can see how little is in them and how many gaps there are.

I was a little bit worried because I have tried a few different fountains and my cats don't seem attracted to it. Shockingly enough, my cat definitely seems to drink from it. The setup was easy and it holds a ton of water. I like the cleaning feature and the fact that you really just have to change the filters and run some vinegar through it. The cats haven't seemed to mess with the plug portion that's in the wall. Overall, I would say all four of my cats definitely enjoy their new water fountain.
