Does this come with citronella spray?

The collar comes prefilled with citronella that lasts up to 50 splashes with battery life up to 12 days. Citronella Spray Refill Cans are available directly through the manufacturer's website.

Does this collar work automatically when the dog barks or do I have to control it with the remote?

This citronella anti-bark collar does not provide automatic correction. There is a micro circuit inside the unit that triggers a miniature valve releasing a spray of citronella whenever you press the button on the remote. There is no shock administered. The dog feels, hears and smells the unpleasant citronella spray.

Can this be filled with plain water?

Unbelievable!!

My 3 yo Jack Russell mix that I’ve had for a year started barking more and more. His piercing bark was getting on everyone’s nerves. I tried several behavioral things that did not work at all. My friend told me about bark collars that don’t “zap” dogs so I ordered this one. Didn’t realize it didn’t come with the citronella so I ordered that after I received it. So I decided to try it with the vibration setting and WOW!!!! Only used it twice the first day and he’s been GREAT ever since! The second day I didn’t put the collar on but showed him the remote and AGAIN he stopped barking. Now all I have to say is “no” if he gets into a barking loop and he stops immediately. This worked better and quicker than I ever imagined!! I highly recommend this product.

Stops working

This product is not the greatest to stop my dog from barking. It works for about 2 time and then stops working. We made sure the battery was charged on both remote

We made sure the battery was charged on both remote and collar but the control stops sending signal to the collar after two clicks. It’s frustrating because the dog continues to bark since he doesn’t have enough time to learn that if he barks he gets sprayed

Had this a little less than a year now. First the strap broke so I fixed that. Now the front power button works intermittently. Not worth the cost

Took forever to sync

The instructions are not written well. They leave out an important step, assuming the buyer would know what to do between two steps. It was not intuitive. I

It really works on my dachshund!

I’ve tried the vibrating only collar and it worked for a week until my dachshund figured it out. This collar is great because it has a sound, vibration or spray

I’ve tried the vibrating only collar and it worked for a week until my dachshund figured it out. This collar is great because it has a sound, vibration or spray option to keep him guessing. And the remote allows you to really have control over the barking. I take him to work and his barking was becoming an issue. Spray option has 3 levels too. I had to turn it up to 3 to deter him from barking at another dog. Barking without having to correct has definitely declined now and he can continue to come to work with me! Would definitely recommend!!
