Woven sisal, sisal rope or sisal carpet? Are posts replaceable? How are the pafs held in place?

This cat tree features sisal carpeting. Replacement posts are available directly through the manufacturer. The cushioned pads are held in place using velcro strips, which makes them easy to remove to spot clean or wash.

Are the platform heights adjustable? What's the weight capacity?

The platform heights are not adjustable. If properly mounted to the wall this tower is specifically designed for a multi cat household and does not have a weight limit.

Is it possible to use half the scratching posts? Like, it looks like 2 sections per level. Is it possible to use just 1 per section?

Posts can be removed from this tree to change the locations of the platforms.

Where does the hardware fit into the wall - i.e. I want to fit into a corner that has windows on either side. Is the hardware in the middle of the platform (about 12 inches in from the side), or is it on the side of the platform. I've got about 5 inches of wall on one side.

The anchors for this tree are positioned on the left and right sides of the center and top platform railings.

Incredibly easy to assemble, VERY stable when properly mounted, and gorgeous looking cat tree. Unfortunately, my cat was intimidated by the size and wouldn't use the upper perch. I ended up taking it apart and returning it which ended up being a much easier process than I had anticipated-- between both the disassembly and Chewy's generous return window. If you're on the fence about this cat tree but want to test it out, keep the box handy just in case.

Thought it would be good for my two cats, but they will not climb up to the first perch, let alone even trying to go to the second perch. They are only using the bottom of the post for scratching, and that is it. Had I seen this in person I probably would not have purchased. Unfortunately, we got rid of the boxes, and it would be awkward to return where it has many parts and heavy.

I followed other people's reviews and stabilized it with command strips. The base is wide and stable so this way I avoided drilling into walls, and I have never had it tip over.

The best tree

This is the best version of a cat tree in my opinion. It's super sturdy (use anchor screws) and my cats love it. One of my cats is a big climber and she loves clawing

This is the best version of a cat tree in my opinion. It's super sturdy (use anchor screws) and my cats love it. One of my cats is a big climber and she loves clawing her way to the top. My maine coon loves this because it's actually tall enough for him to stretch out fully. Easy to assemble and disassemble. Every dedicated cat owner should have one.

The instructions with the item would get a 1 star. The Hardware that holds the platforms to the wall pieces would get 2 stars. When you change out the hardware

The instructions with the item would get a 1 star. The Hardware that holds the platforms to the wall pieces would get 2 stars. When you change out the hardware to just drill holes and use screws and standard want anchors, the unit becomes very desirable and my cat loves it. The climbing rope wrap is a big hit. I would and will buy another but just put together and anchor with standard hardware.
